Once My Only, Now Just a Memory Chapter 10

Brielle opened the envelopes.

They contained various documents and photographs. She handed one set to Cillian and the other to

Edmund.

Cillian’s eyes scanned the pages quickly, his face darkening with every second.

I stepped forward. “What is that?”

“What is it? You have the audacity to ask?”

Edmund threw the photos directly at my face.

Ignoring the sting of the paper cutting my skin, I looked down to pick them up.

The photos showed me in bed with various unknown men.

“This is impossible,” I whispered, my face losing all color. “This is not me.”

Then, my eyes fell on the Pack bloodline assay.

The names listed were Cillian Wrenford and Lumi Shaw.

The result was clear.

There was no paternal match.

The world seemed to spin on its axis.

“It’s a lie. This is fake!”

“Lumi looks just like you. You watched her grow up. How can you believe she is not your pup?”

Cillian’s expression wavered for a fraction of a second. I clutched at that tiny shred of hope.

But Brielle’s sweet voice cut through the air. “Why would I lie? The staff at the estate can all testify to your

affairs.”

I watched the final trace of doubt leave Cillian’s eyes.

His powerful Alpha aura erupted, heavy and suffocating.

He struck me across the face, his voice thick with betrayal. “Why?”

“Did I not give you everything? Why would you betray me like this?”

I could barely breathe under his pressure. “Cillian, I didn’t do this. I beg you, run the test again…”

Tears streamed down my face

But he was entirely consumed by rage.

In front of everyone, he spoke the words that shattered my life.

“I, Cillian Wrenford, reject Flora Shaw as my Mate.”

At that exact moment, the invisible bond between us was violently torn apart.

My dormant wolf let out a sharp, agonizing cry within my soul.

My knees buckled, and I collapsed onto the floor.

Cillian didn’t even look at me!

“Throw her out of Wrenford territory. And the pup in the hospital.”

His voice was colder than death.

“Cut off all medical funding. Let her real father save her.”

That night, a blizzard raged across the city.

I was dumped outside the borders of the Pack estate.

My body was too numb to feel the cold.

But I had to keep going. I had to survive for Lumi.

I dragged my frozen limbs back to the hospital.

Lumi was curled into a tight ball on her bed, crying from the sudden lack of pain medication.

“Mommy…”

“It hurts so much…”

I rushed to her side and held her close.

It felt as though my heart was being slowly crushed into dust.
