On Our Wedding Day, He Married another woman—I Ruined Him Chapter 04

Following Lily’s viral live stream, Ethan’s company saw an unprecedented surge in brand traffic.

He called me, setting up a meeting at his headquarters.

I thought he was finally going to discuss a public retraction. Instead, he slid a typed PR script across the desk, instructing me to do a live apology broadcast to capitalize on the momentum.

“If you take the blame and say you tried to force your way into our relationship, the internet mob will back off your mother,” he said smoothly.

I looked at the script, letting out a hollow laugh.

“I gave you seven years of my life, Ethan. I funded you when you had nothing, and now that you’re a success, you think you can just rewrite history?”

Ethan tilted his head, his face still holding that familiar, patient smile.

“Audrey, throw a tantrum if you must, but think about your mother’s health. I doubt her heart can take another wave of online harassment.”

Looking into those warm eyes—the exact same eyes I had loved for nearly a decade—I felt sick to my stomach.

Before the broadcast setup was finalized, Lily walked in, balancing a cup of iced coffee.

“Audrey, I really am so sorry about all this,” she purred.

Then, with an elegant tilt of her wrist, the freezing coffee “accidentally” drenched my dress.

A sharp, violent cramp gripped my lower abdomen. I seized the edge of the desk, my face draining of all color instantly.

Ethan noticed my distress, but he simply frowned, pulling a tissue to wipe Lily’s fingers.

“The cameras are rolling,” the director called out.

Lily immediately turned to the lens, tears welling flawlessly as she explained she never wanted to steal anyone’s happiness—she just wanted a legal marriage.

Ethan reached across the table, lacing his fingers with hers, looking deeply into her eyes.

“Audrey and I are ancient history,” he said directly to the stream. “The wedding banquet was her delusion. She refused to accept the breakup, and I went along with it out of pity.”

I snapped my head up, my ears ringing.

The man had the absolute audacity to take a wedding reception with thirty tables that he booked and frame it as an act of charity for a psycho.

The chat exploded.

[Holy plot twist! The ex is a delusional stalker!]

[She scammed her own relatives for wedding cash? Disgusting!]

[Ethan is a literal saint for humoring her.]

Ethan slid the microphone squarely in front of me, his voice dropping into a dangerous whisper.

“Read the script.”

I looked down at the crisp white sheet of paper.

I, Audrey Su, hereby admit that I maliciously harassed Mr. Ethan Vance and Ms. Lily Sterling during their lawful marriage, and I extend my deepest apologies for the trauma caused…

I smiled.

Right in front of the lens, in front of hundreds of thousands of live viewers, I ripped the paper to shreds and hurled the pieces directly into Lily’s smug face.

Lily let out a dramatic shriek, throwing herself backward.

“Ah! She pushed me!”

On screen, the framing only caught her stumbling violently out of the shot.

Ethan snapped. He lunged forward like a rabid animal, shoving me back with full force.

“Audrey! You psycho! If anything happens to her or the baby, I will ruin you!”

I lost my footing entirely, my lower back crashing hard against the heavy metal base of the studio lighting rig.

A blinding, tearing pain ripped through my pelvis. All strength left my limbs, and I collapsed onto the floor.

Beneath my skirt, a thick, warm rush of fluid began to spread, staining the gray floorboards bright crimson.

Lily caught sight of the blood and immediately pointed, her voice shrieking through the studio.

“Look! Look at her! She brought fake blood just to stage a miscarriage for sympathy!”

Ethan’s face was livid, but he didn’t care about the blood. He immediately scooped Lily into his arms, yelling for his driver to get the car ready for the hospital.

With the last shred of my strength, I reached out and clamped my hand around the cuff of his trousers.

My voice was a broken, ragged whisper.

“Ethan… I’m pregnant. It’s real.”

He froze, a brief, microscopic flash of hesitation crossing his features.

But Lily buried her face in his neck, wailing loudly.

“She’s lying! Ethan, don’t believe her! You told me yourself her body was ruined seven years ago and she could never have kids! She’s just trying to destroy us!”

The hesitation vanished from Ethan’s eyes, replaced by total disgust.

One by one, he coldly pried my fingers off his hem.

“Audrey, if you’re going to lie, pick something believable.”

“You? Have a baby? Don’t make me laugh.”

The studio cameras were still streaming live. The chat was scrolling at lightning speed:

[Karma!]

[Nice acting!]

[Deserved!]

I lay paralyzed on the cold floor as my life leaked out of me.

With trembling fingers, I dragged my bag down and pulled out the crumpled lab sheet from the clinic, letting it fall face-up onto the floor right beneath the high-definition lens.

The camera captured the bold, black text perfectly: [Clinical Diagnosis: Positive — Early Intrauterine Pregnancy]

The toxic chat went dead silent.
