My Snake Lord Suitor Chapter 05

My Snake Lord Suitor Chapter 05

I’d barely calmed the crying serpent down when rapid banging echoed against the front door, Jasper’s voice cutting through the noise.

“Clara, open up, I need to talk to you.”

I wondered how he’d tracked down my private estate address.

I’d only shared the Cedar Ridge Package Hub drop-off location for deliveries during our online relationship, never my actual home.

The holographic overlays answered my unspoken question.

[How’d Jasper find her place this fast?]

[Jasper hired a private investigator to track down my estate’s location, using old shipping info from our online chats.]

[Silas and Clara were just bonding, Jasper’s ruining everything.]

[Jasper’s the canonical lead, he’s supposed to win her back.]

[The real lead is whoever Clara chooses, full stop.]

The commentary split into heated arguments while the door shook under constant pounding.

I headed for the stairs to let him inside.

The serpent darted out the second-floor window before I could take a single step.

I stared after it, confused. Where was it rushing off to, would it even come back later?

The banging cut off instantly.

I pulled up my Smart Home Security Cameras to replay the feed, stunned by what I saw.

Silas’s serpent form dropped from the second story and slammed headfirst straight into Jasper’s torso, knocking him fully unconscious.

The scene was so surreal I half-expected an AI watermark to float across the screen.

No digital tags appeared at all.

I couldn’t help but admire the force of that collision.

[That impact hit different.]

[Silas isn’t even trying to hide his possessiveness anymore!]

[That moment’s such a huge relief to watch.]

[Jasper’s stuck playing the punching bag in every scene.]

[Team mature serpent CEO all the way!]

[Now he’s the overprotective tiny serpent lord.]

Other critical commentary mixed into the stream.

[That was out of line, he’s his elder, it’s ungentlemanly to come between young lovers.]

[Jasper’s the one who spoke horribly to her first!]

[His words were unforgivably cruel.]

[He’s here to apologize, can’t people cut him some slack?]

[A half-hearted sorry doesn’t erase the harm he caused. Jasper started all this by breaking up with her and accidentally sending Silas to her as a gift.]

One overlay line voiced exactly what I’d been thinking.

I had zero desire to face Jasper ever again.

Still, leaving an unconscious man collapsed on my front lawn looked terrible.

I headed downstairs to clean up the mess.

The driveway was empty when I opened the front door.

I couldn’t fathom how the small serpent had dragged Jasper’s full body away alone.

Silas’s tail slammed the back door of the Veyron Executive Sedan shut as I watched.

A hired driver pulled away with Jasper inside, only the car’s taillights fading into the distance.

The serpent slithered to my feet, acting as if nothing chaotic had just unfolded.

I grinned, relieved the nuisance was gone, and lifted him into my palms.

He rubbed his head gently against my fingers in thanks.

I tapped the top of his hard skull playfully, the solid surface knocking softly under my knuckle.

He didn’t grow annoyed, just kept nuzzling my fingertips, begging for more affection.

I found myself wondering what it would look like to see Silas act this clingy in his human form.

I grabbed my phone and blocked Jasper’s contact permanently.
