My New Life as a Rancher with a Hot Billionaire Husband Chapter 02

“Get out. And forget about the apartment,” Killian ground out.

“Got it! I’m leaving right now! Won’t get in the way of you and Miss Sterling at all! I don’t want the apartment,

just the cash!” I dashed into the bedroom.

Three minutes later, I came rushing out, dragging an extremely cheap-looking black industrial trash bag.

A vein throbbed on Killian’s forehead. “What is this? Have I ever mistreated you? You need to use garbage to

insult me?”

“Boss, you don’t get it.” I patted the bag, which made a dull thud. “This isn’t just any bag. This is my entire fortune from the past three years.”

Inside were my high-end gaming keyboards, mouse collection, and a top-tier gaming laptop.

No joke. Outside of playing his substitute girlfriend, I had poured all my emotional stress into gaming. These

were my lifeline.

Killian pinched the bridge of his nose, clearly done with me. “Leave. Vivienne will be here any minute. Don’t

let her misunderstand.”

I flashed him an OK sign and pushed open the door.

Outside stood a woman in a simple white dress, her presence calm and distant, almost untouchable.

Vivienne Sterling.

The legendary first love.

She froze for a second when she saw my trash bag, her gaze turning cautious. “You’re… the girl Killian

mentioned?”

I immediately dropped the bag and grabbed both her hands, shaking them enthusiastically. “Miss Sterling!

I’ve heard so much about you! Thank you for coming back just in time to save me from this nightmare!”

She looked completely stunned. “You… don’t hate me for taking him away?”

“Hate you? I’ve been praying every single day for you to come back and rescue me!”

I leaned closer, lowering my voice like I was sharing a life-or-death secret.

“Take my advice, Miss Sterling. Killian may be rich, but his issues are endless.”

I went all in.

“He’s insanely picky with food. Won’t eat this, won’t eat that. Steak has to be rare. Even the temperature of his water being off by one degree sets him off.”

“He doesn’t smile when he’s happy, and when he’s mad, his face looks like a thunderstorm. When he loses

control, he likes pinning people against walls.”

“And his ridiculous house rules. Lights out at nine. No loud noise allowed.”

Vivienne’s face went from pale to completely ashen.

I gave her shoulder a final pat. “Anyway, all this good fortune is yours now. Take your time enjoying it. I’m off

to chase my small-town farm dream. Bye!”

With that, I hoisted my trash bag and ran into the elevator.

As the doors slowly closed, I saw Killian striding out, his face dark enough to drip ink.

And the way Vivienne looked at him…

She looked terrified.
