My Made‑Up Werewolf Mate Sent Me Gifts Chapter 07

My Made‑Up Werewolf Mate Sent Me Gifts Chapter 07: The Dead

The next morning, I thought everything would return to normal.

But activating the Mate Bond brought one side effect.

I began remembering more and more from before my death.

I was killed on a full-moon night.

That day, Logan had been lured away by an enemy pack.

The Darkmoon Pack.

I was alone near the edge of the territory.

They pierced my heart from behind with a silver dagger.

The last thing I saw before I died was Logan running toward me from far away, howling at the sky.

That sound tore through the entire forest.

Later, I heard Logan killed every member of the Darkmoon Pack.

Not one survived.

But he could not bring me back.

All he could do was use the bloodfire ritual to anchor my soul in The Pale and wait for a legendary chance.

The Mate Recall Ritual on the Moon Goddess’s full-moon night.

That ritual required a living werewolf to sacrifice half of his life force in order to pull a dead True Mate out of

The Pale.

Logan had been waiting.

Waiting for the next full moon.

And that full moon was in three days.

I sat in my office chair, my hands shaking.

Jenna came over.

“Vee, you look awful. Are you okay?”

I lifted my head and looked at her.

Suddenly, I thought of something.

“Jenna, you’re a werewolf too, aren’t you?”

She froze.

“What are you talking about?”

“You were sent by the pack to secretly protect me. But you’ve been trapped in The Pale too long. You forgot.”

Jenna opened her mouth, but no words came out.

But she did not deny it.

That afternoon, Mara came again.

This time, three people followed her.

All of them wore black tactical uniforms with wolf-head badges on their chests.

“Vee Stone,” Mara’s voice was cold, “you violated the first law of The Pale. You awakened the memories of

the dead and disrupted the order of this transitional world. Under the Moon Pact, I have the right to imprison

you permanently.”

I rose from my seat.

“What about you, Mara?” I said. “Smell yourself. You’re dead too. You were killed by a rogue wolf, weren’t

you? You spent your whole life hunting werewolves, only to die in a rogue wolf’s mouth. Don’t you find that

ironic?”

Mara’s face instantly went pale.

The air in the office seemed to freeze.

Then the sky outside the window suddenly darkened.

Not with storm clouds.

With something older.

Something deeper.

A wolf’s howl pierced down from the sky.

Not from outside.

From inside every person’s mind.

Then Logan Blackwood’s voice entered the mind of every dead werewolf present through his Alpha Aura.

“My mate. I’m coming for you. Wait for me.”

Everyone heard it.

Including Mara.

Including Jenna.

Including Eli, Linda, and all my coworkers.

Some people started screaming.

Some held their heads and sobbed.

Some dropped to their knees, whispering to themselves, “I remember… I remember…”

Mara stared at me, her eyes reddening.

“Who exactly are you?”

“I am Logan Blackwood’s True Mate. He is the Alpha of Blackwood. I am his Luna,” I said. “And it’s time for you to remember, Mara. You’re a werewolf too. You were killed too. You’re trapped here too.”

Mara did not answer.

She turned and left with her people.

Now, nothing stood in the way of my recall.
