My Husband’s Second Personality Loved His Sister-in-Law Chapter 07

He hesitated, then added, “There’s also a legal letter from Evelyn… addressed to Miss Reed,

demanding over ten million dollars in compensation!”6

Then, his mother called. Noise and crying filled the line.

“Nathaniel, come back!” Margaret cried. “People are trying to take our house! You have to see this!”

Take the house?

Instinctively, Nathaniel opened the divorce papers. Seeing the clause about him leaving empty-handed, he was dumbstruck.

“Mom, don’t worry,” he said, calming her. “Get them out first. I’ll send help.”

Under the dim streetlights, Nathaniel ran his hands through his hair.

Finally, he received the only piece of good news all day.

Daniel sent an excited message. A company was willing to fund them through the crisis, offering not just a generous price but global resources.

Nathaniel’s spirits lifted.

“Daniel, make sure they stay in the conference room,” he instructed. “I’ll be there immediately.”

All the way there, Nathaniel couldn’t help but feel a quiet thrill.

So there really was light at the end of the tunnel.

No matter how many schemes had been set against him, the Reed Group could still weather this

storm. But when he reached the conference room, he froze.

Evelyn sat in the head seat, chin lifted, looking straight at him.

“Mr. Reed,” she said coolly, “long time no see.”
