My Husband Thinks I’m My Own Mistress Chapter 07

My Husband Thinks I’m My Own Mistress Chapter 07

I took the money and went back to my hometown.

A small coastal county.

Elara hated this place. She thought the bad schools wasted her talent, that the people here

were trash who dirtied her grace, that the muddy air was suffocating.

But I loved it.

Growing up, I was stuffed with tutoring sessions nonstop. Only here could I lie on the beach

and sunbathe in peace.

No thinking. No stress.

My grandparents were dead. I didn’t know any relatives here. I kept to myself, stayed alone in

a beach hotel, and woke up every morning to bright sunlight.

I relaxed like that for almost a month.

When Elara called, I was lying on the sand, touching a male model’s abs.

I was annoyed. I hung up twice, but she kept calling.

I answered lazily. Before I could speak, she panicked.

“Did Kael ever touch you?”

“…That’s a little personal, don’t you think?”

“Why won’t he touch me?!” Elara shrieked.

“I tried everything. He won’t come near me. Why? Did he find out?!”

Her screaming hurt my ears. I held the phone away, squeezed the model’s muscle, and said,

“Maybe you’re just not attractive enough, sis. Try working out?”

“No! He knows… I drugged him last night. He cut himself with a knife rather than touch me.”

“He’s in the hospital right now. When he comes back, he’ll destroy me. What do I do?!” She

sobbed, voice shaking with fear.

“You drugged him?” I licked my lips. “Then run.

“From what I know, the last person who drugged him is six feet under.”

Kael followed the law, but he wasn’t nice. He knew exactly how to ruin you within the rules.

Elara didn’t hesitate.

She knew where I was. She booked the next flight and showed up.

She walked in just as a young model was feeding me wine.

She looked disgusted. “Aren’t you ashamed?”

“Cleaner than you.” I rolled my eyes, pulled a stack of cash out of my wallet, and tossed it at

the models. I waved them away, then turned to Elara.

“What are you doing here?”

“I came to settle the score, dear sister.”

She stepped forward, grabbed a wine glass off the table, and threw it at me.

I dodged with a cold smile, lunged at her, grabbed her hair, and punched her face over and

over.

Our lives had been completely different since we were little.

The only thing we had in common was MMA & Self-Defense training.

Every hit was brutal.

“You did this on purpose! If you’d told me you’d fallen for him, I never would’ve switched back

– you set me up!”

“Set you up? Are you crazy?! If you hadn’t run off, I never would’ve married him using your

name! You have no idea how miserable I was for six months!”

“You deserve to die!”

“You deserve it!”

Half an hour later, we lay on a bar couch, faces bruised and swollen.

We were tired out, breathing hard.

We still had each other’s hair gripped in our fists.

“What are we gonna do?” Elara asked hoarsely.

“Kael will find us soon. What do we tell him?”

“The truth.” I wiped blood off my lip and chuckled coldly.

“I didn’t come up with that stupid arranged marriage switch. Let him blame whoever did.”

Elara went quiet. After a while, she touched her bruise and sighed.

“You still hate Mom and Dad.”

“Don’t you? Stop acting holy.”

“I…” Elara laughed quietly. “You’re right. No point pretending in front of you.”
