The judge was about to speak.

Celine sat in the front row, one hand on her belly, eyes wet. She was as fragile as glass.

She saw Sullivan looking and tilted her head.

“Sully? What’s wrong? Did you find more proof of Vivian’s breakdown?”

Still that soft, innocent voice.

The judge noticed.

“Counselor, is there an issue?”

Sullivan’s throat moved. His voice came out wrecked.

“Your Honor… the prosecution wishes to submit newly discovered evidence.”

Chaos in the gallery.

“More footage of that slut?”

“Jesus, I thought we’d seen it all.”

Dave rushed into the courtroom and handed a USB drive to the court clerk.

The judge suspended the court proceeding and reviewed the newly submitted evidence.

The big screen lit up.

It was from another angle outside the hotel lounge.

I appeared on-screen, already unsteady. Not leaning on Eden. I was dragged. Half-carried.

My arms hung limp. I tried to lift them, but I couldn’t.

Celine was there. She was in white dress, standing by the door.

No tears. No victim act. Just cold, cutting disgust.

She looked at me and told Eden, low.

“Hurry! The drug’s peaked.”

“Don’t leave obvious marks. Make it look clean.”

Dead silence. Someone gasped.

Eden went white. He shot up.

“No! That’s fake! That’s not real!”

Bailiffs shoved him back down.

The footage kept rolling.

Eden grinned.

“Hey, you really think Sully will buy it? That’s his wife.”

Celine laughed softly.

“That’s exactly why he’ll buy it. He knows every scar on her body.”

“Just dig up the old case from seven years ago. No one will believe her a second time.”

Sullivan’s whole body swayed.

He stared at the screen like he was being forced to watch his own crime.

On-screen, I seemed to wake up for a second.

A ragged sound came out of my throat. I couldn’t make out the word.

But my lips formed it: No.

Celine walked over and grabbed my chin.

“Don’t blame me, Vivian.”

“You sat in my chair for five years.”

“You can’t even give him a child. Why wouldn’t I take it back?”

Everything went black.

On-screen, I went limp.

Celine pulled my wrap off. Looked at me with pure revulsion.

“Clean it up.”

“Tomorrow, she’s just a crazy bitch who tried to get back at me by seducing a college young man.”

“Sully will believe it. He always does.”

The judge cut the video. The rest was too explicit.

But it was enough. Enough for everyone to see.

I wasn’t lying. Wasn’t seducing. Wasn’t willing.

I was drugged. Dragged. Pushed into hell by Celine’s own hands.

And Sullivan—he was the one who locked the door from the outside.

Celine panicked.

One hand pressed protectively to her belly, she stumbled over to Sullivan, bursting into hysterical tears.

“Sully! It’s not true!”

“She faked that video! She hates me. She hates that I’m carrying your baby!”

She tried to collapse into his arms like always.

This time, Sullivan stepped back.

She hit empty air.

She froze on the spot, every trace of color draining from her face in an instant.

That terrified her more than the video.

Because it was the first time Sullivan hadn’t caught her.

Eden snapped from the defendant’s chair. He was completely losing control.

“Don’t dump it all on me, Celine!”

“You said it yourself!”

“You said if we made Vivian dirty, she’d never be Mrs. Evans again!”

“You said Sully would protect me! you said he hates women who cry rape for attention!”

Celine shrieked.

“Shut up!”

Court turned into chaos.

Bailliffs swarmed Eden and Celine.

Even as they dragged her out, Celine kept crying.

“Sully! I’m carrying your child! You can’t abandon us!”

“You can’t choose her over our baby!”

That was the last needle into my already-dead heart.

I thought I couldn’t hurt anymore. But “our baby” still stung.

Sullivan finally turned to me.

His eyes were bloodshot. His lips parted.

“Vivi…”

He took one step.

I flinched backward and stumbled backward until my back slammed against the witness stand railing.

My own voice came out thin, cold, to the point of feeling alien to myself.

“Don’t.”

Sullivan froze. He looked at me like he finally understood everything.

I was afraid of him.

I looked him in the eye. One word at a time.

“Right now, you make me sick.”
