The day of the corporate board of directors meeting arrived.

Seraphina brought me along to sit beside her in the Vertis Group corporate boardroom.

Kian and Jasper already occupied the main executive chairs when we walked in.

Liora and the former housekeeper sat beside them as well.

Several board members spotted the shift in power and immediately switched sides, addressing the ex-housekeeper as Madam directly in front of Seraphina’s face.

The woman lifted her chin high, overflowing with arrogant triumph, shooting Seraphina endless taunting glances.

Seraphina didn’t react with anger or retorts-she simply memorized every single person who’d turned their back on her silently.

The meeting kicked off without delay.

All shareholders loyal to Kian immediately launched aggressive attacks, demanding Seraphina fully surrender all her equity stakes and step down permanently.

They offered to purchase her shares outright, hiding behind weak, biased excuses.

“Vertis Group was funded with your family’s bridal assets, but the company will eventually pass down to the male heir regardless.”

“A woman shouldn’t waste her time tangled up in corporate leadership.”

“Kian only strayed because living as a matrilineal spouse crushed his pride-your harsh temperament pushed him to it.”

Several loyal long-term directors shouted back furiously at the opposing group.

“How quickly you forget every favor the late Mr. Voss granted all of you when he built this company from nothing!”

He took a matrilineal marriage vow, he should’ve stayed humble instead of chasing affairs and stealing company funds.”

The entire boardroom erupted into screaming arguments, while other directors sat on the fence, neutral and undecided.

Kian dropped a bombshell statement to shift all momentum in his favor.

“If Seraphina refuses to step down voluntarily, I’ll officially retire from my executive position early.”

“From that day forward, all corporate operations will fall under Jasper’s full management.”

“He’s our blood and the natural heir-why wait years to hand the company to him?”

Jasper jumped in to add his own threatening speech.

“The first order of business once I take charge will be firing every employee and board member loyal to you, Mom.”

“I’ll also seize full control of your Iberian Regional Subsidiary overseas.’

“The company’s toxic work culture needs a complete overhaul starting immediately.”

Silence crashed over the boardroom after his speech.

The directors who’d previously defended Seraphina turned deathly pale, while neutral shareholders grew restless, ready to switch sides to Kian’s faction.

Seraphina stood to her feet then, fixing a cold stare straight at Kian.

“I have no issue handing corporate authority over to Jasper if that’s what you

want.

I’m even willing to sell all my equity shares to the board if that’s what you demand.”

Triumphant grins exploded across Kian and Jasper’s faces instantly.

Kian leaned back against his leather chair, scoffing with condescension.

“If you’d surrendered to me sooner, we wouldn’t have fallen this far apart as a married couple.”

The ex-housekeeper pressed herself against Kian’s side right then, gloating openly in front of every board member.

“You’re far too stubborn and sharp-tongued, Seraphina. You’ll never remarry once this divorce goes through.”

Rage made my whole body shake, and I stepped forward ready to strike her across the face.
