My Fiancé Favors My Twin Sister Chapter 06

My Fiancé Favors My Twin Sister Chapter 06

The next morning, at the airport, Pierce called.

I hesitated for two seconds-then picked up.

“Don’t call again. We’re done.”

No argument. No explanation on the other end.

Just silence.

I was about to hang up-

Then a breathless voice cut through.

“Pierce… we didn’t use anything. What if I get pregnant?”

My mind went blank.

My chest felt hollowed out.

Then came the sound of kissing. Wet. Lingering.

Pierce’s voice, muffled and drunk: “Baby, I drank too much… don’t.”

The airport boarding announcement echoed overhead.

Pierce snapped awake.

“Linnea? Where are you? Where are you going?”

“Wait-let me explain-”

I closed my eyes. Swallowed the bitterness rising in my throat.

“Pierce.”

“Ten years. I gave you ten years. And this is what I get.”

“Don’t call me again.”

Silence on the other end.

Saskia’s panicked sobbing. Pierce’s labored breathing.

For the first time, I heard him-frantic, stumbling over words.

“I was drunk. I wasn’t thinking. I just-”

“It doesn’t matter.”

The boarding call echoed again.

“If I hadn’t believed you that night.”

“When you said you liked apples. I’d have saved myself ten years.’

“Pierce. I don’t love you anymore. We’re done.”

This time-no hesitation.

I hung up. Blocked him.

Done.

The dial tone cut through Pierce like a blade.

He shoved Saskia aside and staggered up.

“Pierce! Where are you going?”

“You used me–and now you’re leaving?”

“We just did this. You don’t get to walk away and pretend it didn’t happen.”

She clung to his arm.

“I watched you love my sister for years. I accepted it.”

“Now you chose me-so don’t you dare run.”

“Whatever Linnea gave you -I can give you too.”

His head throbbed.

He looked back-tried to piece it together.

The drink she’d handed him.

What happened after. The call. Everything.

It hit him like cold water.

His eyes landed on the table. Two identical bags.

One was real. The one he’d carefully chosen.

The other-she’d returned to Linnea last night.

Saskia saw him pause and leaned in.

“Pierce, don’t go to her.”

“We have something now. Let me be enough!”

He shook her off.

“Shut up.”

“You drugged me. You made that call. You planned everything.”

“I thought you were innocent. But you’re just greedy.”

“How did I not see it sooner?”

Her words from the phone echoed in his head.

Linnea’s voice-cold and final.

His chest ached.

Saskia finally snapped.

“Linnea gave up on you-just like you gave up on her every time.”

She laughed, bitter and broken.

“Ten years.”

“I’ve been woven into every part of your life. And you think you can walk away clean?”

“Linnea won’t come back. She won’t forgive you.”

“Pierce, dream on.”

She watched him tremble with rage-and kept going.

“You should’ve seen her last night.”

“Watching us hold each other. Whisper like lovers.”

“She looked so broken.”

“Honestly? Even I felt sorry for her.”
