My Fiancé Confessed His Betrayal Chapter 07

My Fiancé Confessed His Betrayal Chapter 07 A Bride for Revenge

The moment Wynne Frost shrieked and fell to the ground, the crowd scrambled around her.

Shane Sterling refused to release his hold on my corpse, clutching me against his chest.

His body heat radiated through his blood–soaked shirt, a sensation that nauseated me to my

core.

Yet I no longer possessed the strength to push him away.

My hovering spirit looked down, observing the chaotic scene with cold detachment.

The paramedics arrived, lifted my body onto a gurney, and draped a white sheet over me.

As darkness swallowed my field of vision beneath the cloth, a shout echoed down the hall.

“Wynne’s having an acute panic attack! She’s being rushed to Emergency!”

Shane froze.

Caught between my covered body and the emergency room, his hesitation lasted merely 3 seconds.

Then, he turned around and walked toward Wynne.

Watching his retreating back, a hysterical burst of laughter welled up inside me.

My spirit floated down the endless hallway, following him right into the observation room.

Wynne leaned back on the hospital bed, her face ghostly pale and eyes swollen with tears. The second Shane walked in, tears streamed down her cheeks.

“Shane… Liz… is she really gone…?”

Shane lingered by the doorway, staring at her in eerie silence.

“Shane, are you blaming me?”

Barefoot, she scrambled off the bed, stumbling forward to grab his sleeve.

“I swear I didn’t know she would do that… I thought she was just throwing another tantrum like she always does…”

Shane slowly pried her fingers off his arm.

“Get some rest,” he said coldly. “I’m stepping out for a smoke.”

At the end of the corridor, Shane leaned against the wall, endlessly spinning the blood–stained silver ring between his fingers.

A doctor approached from the far end, holding a medical chart.

“Mr. Sterling, Ms. Frost’s CT scan and neurological evaluations are complete.”

The doctor flipped open the file. “There is zero evidence of brain trauma. From a clinical perspective, her collapse was a conscious act of deception rather than a genuine panic attack.”

Shane remained silent.

The doctor paused, flipping to the next page.

“There is one more matter regarding Officer Vance’s father.”

My floating soul shuddered violently.

“On the day Captain Vance passed away, he briefly regained consciousness. A young woman visited his ICU room. Right after she left, his vital signs plummeted, resulting in suffocation after he severed his own oxygen line. While she didn’t sign the guest log, the nurse noted that she claimed to be Officer Vance’s foster sister–a woman named Wynne Frost.”

Shane stared at the words on the page, digesting every single letter.

His face remained impassive, yet I saw his knuckles turn white as his hand trembled around the silver ring.

He finally knew the truth.

My soul hovered above, watching Shane fold the medical report and slide it into his coat pocket. I heard him instruct the doctor, “Keep this strictly between us,” before turning back toward the observation room.

When he opened the door, Wynne was actively scrolling through her phone. She instantly flipped it facedown, flashing him a timid, innocent smile.

“Shane, you’re back.”

Shane sat by her bedside, reaching out to gently tuck a stray strand of hair behind her ear.

His gesture was impeccably tender and soft.

Wynne’s eyes welled up as she threw her arms around him.

“Shane, I’m terrified… I’m so scared you’ll abandon me too… Liz is dead, and you’re the only person I have left…”

“I won’t,” his voice whispered quietly.

“I will never leave you.”

Wynne buried her face against his chest, her voice muffled.

“Liz is gone, and so is the baby… Please don’t be too sad. We can have plenty of children. together in the future. Besides, we’re legally married now. I’ll take care of you in her place.”

Shane looked down at her, a slow, sinister smirk curling the corners of his lips.

“A simple marriage certificate isn’t nearly enough.

“I am going to give you a wedding you will never forget.”
