My Cheating Husband Told Me To Find Someone Else—So I Kissed My NEW BOYFRIEND In Front of Him Chapter 06

Elliot and I spent the afternoon messing around at his rented place. 

That evening, he had to meet an old classmate, and I was heading home to pack. 

Since we were getting divorced anyway, I might as well get my stuff sorted out early. 

Once I had the divorce certificate, Elliot and I would fly abroad. 

My mind was full of logistics. I didn’t notice anything off about my surroundings. 

When I pushed open the door and turned on the light, Cassius was sitting dead center on the couch. 

His face was like shit, barely containing his rage. 

“Where were you this afternoon?” 

I told him the truth. “On a date.” 

I’d already told him about it, but Cassius suddenly exploded. 

He swept all the tea sets off the table. The crash echoed through the room. 

After the clatter died down, he still wasn’t satisfied. 

He kicked over a chair, smashed a decoration I loved. 

Finally, he charged at me, his eyes bloodshot like they were about to bleed. 

“Melissa, you’re my wife! My wife! How dare you cheat on me!!!” 

I frowned. “Weren’t you the one who told me to find someone 

else? 

“You guys said it—a woman with no family, no background, plain -looking like me should find someone at my own level, work an ordinary job, have an ordinary kid. I shouldn’t keep hanging around where I don’t belong. 

“The one thing I’m good at is taking advice. You told me to find someone, so I did. 

“Elliot is capable. He’s smart. If I stick with him, I won’t 

suffer. Don’t worry–after the divorce, I won’t come crawling 

back.” 

I honestly couldn’t figure out why he was so angry, acting like a wronged husband. 

But no matter how I thought about it, it couldn’t be because he 

was jealous. 

Once I settled on that, I told him, “Cassius, don’t be mad. Hardly anyone knows about me and him. After I divorce you, I’m leaving the country. No one will dare laugh at you.” 

Cassius choked on his own breath. He nearly died of anger. 

He couldn’t articulate why he was so furious. 

But looking at her calm face, he couldn’t let the anger out 

either. 

He ground his teeth for a long time, but in the end, he couldn’t 

hold it. 

He kicked the door open and stormed out. 

He headed straight to Eva’s place. 

After Cassius left, I called Natalie. 

“Madam Ziegler, Cassius found out about my boyfriend. He seems really angry.” 

Natalie snorted. “Don’t worry about him. He’s an idiot who doesn’t know his own heart. Just focus on getting ready for your trip abroad. I will handle the rest.” 

Right. When I’d talked to Natalie about the divorce, I’d told her all about Elliot and our plan to emigrate. 

She’d said it was good that he was an orphan–no mother–in–law drama. 

Once I was settled abroad, she’d come visit me. 

She’d had Cassius‘ mother manipulate him into signing the divorce agreement. We all understood that in a month, we’d 

go our separate ways. 

Now that Cassius had made this scene, I didn’t know if things would change. 

I wasn’t sure. After I hung up with Natalie, I sent a message to 

Cassius‘ mother. 

The next day, Cassius‘ parents, who usually lived in the suburbs, suddenly showed up at Eva’s. 

There they found Cassius, shirtless, passed out in bed. 

His mother had always liked Eva. 

Seeing they were closer than ever, she immediately shook Cassius awake and demanded he take responsibility. 

Cassius glared at everyone in the room, but couldn’t argue. 

Two hours later, the whole family gathered to discuss the 

divorce. 

Once I learned the proceedings had started, everyone’s 

expressions changed. 

Eva couldn’t hide her happiness. 

Cassius looked like he was losing his mind. 

His chest heaved. He wanted to say something but couldn’t 

get it out. 

When everything was settled, he walked straight up to me. 

“Melissa, you set me up.‘ 

I raised an eyebrow. 

“You deliberately provoked me to make me jealous. You made 

me lose it so I’d go to Eva and sleep with her.” 

I admitted–when I saw Sean at the restaurant that day, I’d decided to bring things into the open. 

But still… “Cassius, you were the one who looked down on me. 

You were the one who hooked up with Eva. You were the one 

who drove to her place. You were the one who climbed into her 

bed. 

“You’re a grown man. How can you take off your pants and then refuse to own up? What’s happened to you?”
