I couldn’t figure out how to get rid of that lingering sense of annoyance in my heart.

Once I got to the bar, I started drinking glass after glass.

The alcohol hit me, and Jax’s voice seemed to come from far away:

“My lady, why are you so gloomy again?”

I rested my head on my hand and tried to fight the dizziness:

“Get lost.”

Jax seemed to laugh.

He took the glass from me and twirled it in his hand.

“In matters of the heart, the person involved is always confused, while the onlooker sees clearly.”

“Haven’t you noticed? This is the longest relationship you’ve ever had.”

“I don’t understand why you two broke up, but you both seem pretty miserable.”

“Are you jealous after seeing him with someone else today?”

I instinctively argued:

“No way!”

The comments and the plot couldn’t help but float into my mind.

Julian was about to start a new romance…

I let out a breath and irritably grabbed the glass back, draining it in one gulp.

“Anyway, stay out of my business.”

“Worry about yourself.”

Jax stood up casually:

“Fine, I won’t bother you.”

“I’m going outside for a cigarette.”

After he left, I opened a bottle of strong whiskey.

I lost track of how much I drank.

My vision was blurry, and I could barely find the glass with the bottle.

Suddenly, my glass was snatched away.

I heard a voice that was both angry and helpless:

“Why are you drinking so much?”

I mumbled:

“You’re taking my glass again…”

“I told you before, stop bothering me.

The voice became even deeper:

“Look closely. Who am I?”

I looked up. The bar was dimly lit, and his face was hidden in the shadows.

But I saw that familiar, glittering necklace around his neck.

I pulled the necklace out and laughed:

“It’s just Jax.”

But the person in front of me seemed to get even angrier.

He leaned down to look me in the eye.

By the dim light of the table lamp, I finally saw him clearly.

I froze and said:

“Oh, it’s Julian… why are you here?”

He seemed satisfied and gave a small smile.

But the next second, my “lady” temper flared up.

Without warning, I slapped him.

I stood up unsteadily and glared at him:

“You have someone else now, so why are you looking for me?”

But then the room started spinning, and my heart was flooded with bitterness.

I said softly:

“I really hate you. Please stay away from me.”
