When I woke up again, I was back at Riverstone Medical Center.

Sophie Carter and Ethan Sterling were both sitting beside my bed.

The moment Sophie saw me open my eyes, she leaned forward.

“Nattie, you’re finally awake.”

“You scared me to death.”

Ethan’s face was filled with guilt and concern.

He hurried to apologize.

“But Soph is pregnant.”

“She was pregnant, and she couldn’t afford to get hurt.”

“That’s why I saved her first.”

I looked at him.

“Let’s get divorced.”

His expression froze.

“Nattie, what are you talking about?”

“Just because of something like this?”

I raised my hand and stopped him.

“You and Sophie Carter…”

“I know everything.”

“Do you want Sophie Carter to be the other wornan for the rest of her life?”
