My Alpha Mate Stole Our Daughter’s Heart for His Mistress’s Son Chapter 07

My Alpha Mate Stole Our Daughter’s Heart for His Mistress’s Son Chapter 07

To celebrate Dylan receiving the complete, radiant “Moon-Heart” and being formally declared the

pack’s legal heir, Andrew hosted a lavish, sweeping banquet at the Alpha Estate.

But just as the grand event was nearing its conclusion, his Beta assistant burst through the heavy

double doors, pushing past the high-profile guests in a state of sheer, unbridled panic.

“What is the meaning of this?” Andrew barked, his brows furrowing in deep displeasure as he

gripped his wine glass.

His annoyance shattered into dust a second later when he looked down at the hand-carved

wooden box cradled in the Beta’s trembling hands. The assistant nervously popped the latch, revealing the contents.

There, in stark black and white, lay the binding “Mating-Bond Dissolution Agreement.” Resting right on top of the legal papers was the frayed, faded little braided plastic bracelet.

The sight of that childhood token slammed into Andrew’s eyes like a physical blow.

His pupils shrunk into pinpricks, his chest violently heaving as he stared down at the box,

desperately praying his mind was playing tricks on him.

But it only grew worse. Tucked beneath the agreement was a certified bloodline compatibility

document, bearing the indelible, official wax seal of the Lycan High Council.

Andrew scanned the results, and the world began to violently spin.

A wave of severe vertigo hit him so hard that his knees completely buckled. His balance

evaporated, and he pitched forward, saved only by his Beta assistant, who lunged forward just in

time to catch him.

I killed her. I slaughtered my own flesh and blood. I authorized them to cut out my biological daughter’s heart.

The agonizing realization violently clawed its way through his mind, circling like a flock of vultures.

A thick, metallic surge of blood pooled in the back of his throat, threatening to choke him.

With bloodshot, frantic eyes, Andrew reached into the box with trembling fingers and pressed the

play button on the digital voice recorder.

The second Julia’s real, unedited voice echoed through the speaker, malicious and mocking. Andrew felt his soul plunge into a bottomless, freezing abyss.

“Alpha… Lu… Luna is gone,” the Beta assistant stammered, his face stark white. “She checked

herself out of the hospital hours ago. We… we don’t know where she went. No one can find her.”

The remaining color drained from Andrew’s already ashen face. He grabbed the Beta by his lapels, letting out a roaring, manic screech that shattered the festive atmosphere of the hall.

“What did you just say?! Say that again!”

“A heavily guarded woman just walks out of a pack facility, and none of you useless bastards noticed?! What the hell am I paying you for?!”

The Beta assistant shook violently in his grip, tears of terror prickling his eyes. “Alpha… you ordered every single available member of the pack guard to the private wing to secure Master

Dylan.”

“And you ordered all the estate staff to decorate and manage this banquet hall. By the time the

medical team went down to check on the Luna’s vitals, the room was entirely empty.”

“We pulled the security logs… the Luna is gone. She left the territory.”

Andrew fell back, his fingers frantically tearing through the rest of the items in the wooden box- the severed mating bond, the absolute proof of paternity, the archived cardiac sacrifice reports

from their college years…

Until finally, it felt as though his very soul had been violently ripped out of his chest. He collapsed into a pathetic heap on the marble floor, completely paralyzed.

The memories of their past-every single moment, every quiet sacrifice-exploded inside his brain

like a string of detonators.

Claire had stayed by his side from the very beginning, anchoring him when he was a nobody with

nothing to his name.

Nearly ten years of unconditional devotion, and he had treated her like an enemy. He hadn’t given

her a single drop of trust.

And Mia… no matter how late pack business kept him, that sweet little girl had always stayed up, sitting by the hearth just to give him a hug when he walked through the door. Her sweet face had shaken his resolve so deeply that a year ago, he had almost called off the harvest entirely.

But it was exactly at that moment that Julia had started her whisper campaign. Day after day, she had dropped subtle, toxic hints that Mia wasn’t his biological child, culminating in that expertly forged paternity certificate.

Looking back now, the deception was riddled with glaring, obvious holes. How could he have been so catastrophically, unforgivably blind?! How did he let himself fall for her twisted traps over and

over again?!

I murdered my own daughter.

“Andrew? What’s going on?”

Julia, completely oblivious to the ticking time bomb on the floor, swayed over through the crowd, her hips rolling elegantly in a designer gown.

When her eyes caught the signed mating-bond dissolution papers scattered on the floor, she couldn’t suppress the gleeful, triumphant spark in her eyes.

“Has that cheating bitch finally come to her senses and signed the papers?”

She stepped closer, a sweet, fragile smile plastered on her face. “Andrew, I’ve been thinking…

Dylan really does need a proper father in his life, and since the position is vacant-”

BANG!

Before the sentence could leave her mouth, Andrew’s leg snapped out in a brutal, bone-shattering kick delivered with a hundred percent of his Alpha strength. The impact hit Julia squarely in the ribs, sending her airborne.

She flew several meters through the air, crashing violently through a pyramid of champagne crystal before hitting the stone wall.

“I am going to ask you this one final time,” Andrew growled, slowly rising from the floor like a

demon ascending from hell. His voice was a low, guttural vibration that made the glass in the chandeliers hum. “Whose child was Mia?”

“And who-who-gave up half her heart to keep me alive in college?! Who was the one who actually

saved me?!”

Julia lay in the shattered glass, gasping for air as her ribs scraped against her lungs. She froze, a terrifying realization dawning on her as she looked at the absolute madness in Andrew’s eyes. Shifting her posture, her face went deathly pale as she tried to scramble backward.

“Andrew… what’s wrong with you?” she whimpered, tears of genuine fear finally spilling over. “I already explained everything to you back then… Please, stop, you’re hurting me…”

Andrew’s mind suddenly flashed to Claire-covered in deep, purple bruises, locked in restraints- and then to Mia, whose chest had been violently split open to have her soul ripped out.

How much pain had they been in? How much had his beautiful girls suffered while he stood by and cheered?

The thought poured pure, unadulterated high-octane fuel onto his rage. He slammed his thumb onto the recorder, letting Julia’s smug, recorded confessions fill the silent banquet hall, and hurled

the entire contents of the wooden box directly into her blood-splattered face.

“You better tell me right now,” Andrew snarled, his teeth grinding together so hard they threatened to shatter. “Tell me about the bracelet. Tell me who saved my goddamn life!”

Seeing the concrete evidence scattering around her, Julia realized the stage had burned down.

There was no escaping.

A wild, unhinged look crossed her features, and she let out a sharp, hysterical laugh that echoed

off the high ceilings.

“Fine! You want the truth?! Yes, it was Claire! It was always Claire!”

She spat blood onto the polished marble, her eyes gleaming with absolute malice. “You thought

you were so brilliant, didn’t you? You stupid, pathetic pig! You want to know how I knew every

detail about that day in the dirt?”

“The bullies who beat you within an inch of your life when you were six-do you remember the tall

boy who led them? That was my older brother!”

She leaned forward, her voice rising to a mocking, triumphant shriek. “You threw away your

devoted mate and butchered your own biological child… all to protect the sister of the monster

who used to drag you through the mud! Look at you, Alpha! Aren’t you noble?!”

A violent, deafening ringing exploded inside Andrew’s skull. His mind went entirely blank, the reality

of his existence turning into a hollow, mocking void

What had he done? What had he done to the only woman who had ever truly, deeply loved him?

“You subhuman bitch!”

With a feral, animalistic roar, Andrew lunged across the glass. He snatched a broken champagne

flute from the floor and drove the jagged edge ruthlessly into Julia’s skin, carving track after

bloody track into her shoulders and arms.

The banquet hall erupted into a chorus of horrified shrieks. Pack elders and guests scrambled backward in terror as the Alpha completely lost his mind, painting the white marble red.

“Every single cut, every single burn Claire suffered because of you… you are going to feel it! You are going to bleed out just like my daughter did!”

Andrew’s eyes were entirely gold, completely consumed by the madness of his feral wolf. He raised his bloody hand, ready to drive the shard straight through her throat to end her miserable life, when a sudden, piercing sound cut through the chaos.

From just outside the estate gates, the loud, wailing sirens of human law enforcement vehicles

echoed through the night.
