Mated to Another, Imprisoned by Him Chapter 01

Mated to Another, Imprisoned by Him Chapter 01 The Replacement
The moment before, he was still buried deep inside me, our bodies tangled together.
The next moment, after taking a phone call, he pulled away without a shred of hesitation. He didn’t even glance at the marks of intimacy on my skin. His tone was ice-cold.
“My fated mate is back. Move your things out today. Don’t let her see you here.”
We had been together for three years. We shared a bed countless times, yet he had never marked me.
So that was all I had been to him. A tool to satisfy himself while he had no fated mate.
Watching him leave in a hurry, for the first time, I didn’t try to stop him.
Instead, I picked up my phone and sent my brother a message.
“I accept the marriage you arranged. Come get me in three days.”
Since you chose your fated mate,
then three days from now, we are done forever.

When I was eighteen, my body lost control and began releasing a thick, intoxicating pheromone.
My brother, terrified I would be taken by force, asked his closest friend—Alpha Winder of the Silver Moon Pack—to “protect” me.
But he didn’t know it wasn’t protection.
It was claiming.
The first time we met, he claimed me in the car.
He kissed every inch of me, whispering I was the sweetest girl in the world.
From then on, by day, I was his best friend’s little sister.
At night, I was in his bed, letting him do as he pleased.
He molded me into his perfect mate. The worst part was, I let him. I did it willingly.
We kept it secret for three years.
Until today.
It was all ending.
During the war between wolves and vampires, leaving the pack required the Alpha’s approval three days in advance.
Even at the end, I couldn’t escape him.
I gripped my phone and dialed the number etched into my memory.
It rang for a long time.
Just as I thought no one would answer, the line clicked.
A strange woman’s voice answered.
“Hello? Looking for Winder? He’s in the shower…”
Shower.
A sharp pain lanced through my chest, but my voice came out eerily calm.
“No need. Thank you.”
I hung up before she could reply.
The dark screen reflected a pale, weary face.
Three years. We had been together three years. We shared a bed countless times, yet he had never marked me.
I had been naive enough to think he was waiting for our official mating ceremony.
Turns out, the one he wanted to mark had always been someone else.
Less than a minute later, my phone buzzed.
Seeing “Winder” on the screen, I answered on instinct.
“What is it?”
His voice was cold, detached.
Never mind that last night, this same man had pinned me beneath him, murmuring my name.
“Alpha, there’s a document requiring your signature.”
He gave a low grunt of acknowledgment, then added as an afterthought,
“Right. Come by later to move your things. Sally is moving in.”
“There’s a vacant villa on the east side of the pack. You can stay there. Rest assured, I promised your brother I’d look after you.”
Sally. Winder’s fated mate.
I heard he had loved her deeply once, but she left him.
Everyone thought he would remain alone forever.
Until three years ago, when my pheromones surged during my first heat, and he lured me into his bed, making me his secret lover.
And now, three years later, for the sake of his fated mate, he was shoving me back into the role of his best friend’s sister.
Three years together, and he had never liked me.
I was just a convenient distraction. A way to pass the time.
“That won’t be necessary, Alpha.” My voice was flat, lifeless. “My wolf spirit is stable now. I can take care of myself.”
Once he approved my departure, these three ridiculous years would finally be over.
In three days, I’d be gone.
