Little Miss Revenge Chapter 07

For a moment, I saw murder in her eyes. But I didn’t flinch.

“You kill me, and you’re done anyway,” I said calmly. “The DNA results come tomorrow. If I turn up dead, who do you think they’ll blame? And then they’ll find your brother. And the whole story

comes out.”

Margaret froze.

“Or,” I said, “you could run. Take Sofia. Grab the jewelry from Isabella’s vanity. Leave tonight. Before the results come back. At least you won’t go to prison.”

Her eyes lit up with desperate greed. “You’d… help me escape?”

“I don’t want you to die here,” I said, wide-eyed and innocent.

She bought it. She had no other choice.

She fled the room. I watched from the window as she crept upstairs.

Thirty minutes later, I heard a car engine start and fade into the night.

They were gone.

May on my back on the bed, staring at the crystal chandelier.

I thought with a cold smile: Did Margaret really think I was that kind-hearted?

Stealing such a large amount of jewelry would mean she’d spend the rest of her life on the run.

I wasn’t sleepy. I was waiting for dawn.

For the phone call that would change everything.
