“Dr. Cosmo… didn’t you give me this last night? You told me to come discuss the data.”

“When did I ever give you a key? Evelyn, you’ve really stooped this low? Breaking and entering just to get close to me?”

Chloe Sterling shrank back into the sofa, pulling the hem of his oversized shirt down in a performative display of shock.

“Rainer, don’t be too hard on Evie. She’s probably just so obsessed with you that she did something reckless.”
