I Sent Away Every Woman He Loved Until I Became the One Who Left Chapter 17

Brittany turned, saw him, and her expression went from shock to panic. “Grant, she started it…”

Grant didn’t look at her.

He walked straight to Meredith.

He glanced down at her hand, knuckles slightly red.

He raised his eyes to her, voice low and rough. “Does it hurt?”

Meredith withdrew her hand.

“Take your people and go.” Her gaze swept over him flatly. “Don’t let me see her again.”

Then she walked around him toward the door.

Grant watched the door close softly before turning to Brittany.

That one look carried more weight than any words. “Brittany, did you take what I said as wind?”

Brittany opened her mouth. “I…”

Grant didn’t let her finish.

He pulled out his phone and dialed a number. His words were brief. “Brittany’s pregnancy. Since she won’t handle it herself, help her.”

Then he put the phone back in his pocket and didn’t look at her again.

Brittany stood frozen for a few seconds, then lunged forward. “Grant? What do What are you going to do to me?”

you

mean?

Grant stepped aside and headed for the door.

Her voice rose. “Grant! You were with me so long. You throw me away just like that? What am to you? If you were going to be this cruel, why did you come after me in the first place?”

Grant paused at the door. “You came after me first. How this baby happened, you know better than anyone.”

Maybe it was some old-fashioned male instinct to keep the family name going that made him consider keeping the child.

But if the price was hurting the woman he loved, then neither the mother nor the child was worth keeping

When he pushed open the boardroom door, Meredith spoke first.

“Mr. Keller, regarding the property settlement, I have a few additional requirements.”

Grant’s fingers tightened. “Go ahead.”

“First, I’m entitled to half the company equity. During the marriage I served as an executive and led three core projects. That appreciation counts as marital earnings.”

She pushed a project list across the table.

It listed every work achievement since she joined the company.

The timeline was clear. Responsibilities were clear.

Grant glanced down at it.

He’d always thought she was too sick to work, that she’d joined the company just to cling to him, that her position was nominal.

So… she’d been saving herself all along. Working her way up.

He’d been narrow-minded.

“Second, evidence of your extramarital relationships during the marriage. Bank transfer records, surveillance screenshots from venues, and written statements from at least three witnesses.”

“If we go to litigation, this will all be submitted.”

The boardroom went quiet.

Grant looked up at her, searching her face for any emotion.

Even mockery.

But she gave him nothing.

“If you agree to an uncontested divorce, it’ll save time and effort.

זיי

agree…”

divorce.”

Grant’s voice squeezed out of his throat. “Merry, I agree to the uncontested

“Whatever you want, I’ll give. Equity, houses, money. Just say it. But can I… ask you one last
