I Kidnapped The Mafia Don, Tied Him To My Bed Chapter 06

I smashed my glass.

Ten years of pretending I didn’t exist. First meeting, she wants my kidney.

Ivy quickly pulled her son into her arms. Like a hen shielding her chick.

“I’m just asking for a kidney! How can you be so cold! I’m your mother! I gave birth to you! Save your brother!

If I’d known you’d turn out this heartless, I never should’ve had you!”

The little boy squirmed free from her arms. Looked at me with fire in his eyes.

“Mom! I don’t want that bitch’s kidney! You said I was your only child!”

I laughed until tears came. Clapped my hands. “Well said! Really well said!”

Ivy was stunned. Caspian stood up.

She frowned and snapped, “Zoya! What are you arguing with a child for! You’re giving this kidney whether

you like it or not!”

Caspian stepped in front of me. “Touch her, and I’ll kill you.”

I took a deep breath. Patted his back. “Let me handle this.”

I walked up to Ivy. Forced myself to stand straight before her. First time I’d looked her in the eye in over a

decade. “Want my kidney? Kill me and cut it out.”

My steps were unsteady leaving the room. Caspian held me up. Drove me home. At the building entrance, he

took a call.

I didn’t wait for him to finish. Waved. Mouthed “goodbye.”

I looked down from my window after getting inside. He was gone.

But before I could take my coat off, knocking.

I opened the door. Caspian stood outside. “We need to talk.”

I stepped aside. Let him in. “Talk about what?”

Caspian looked exhausted. “Been handling some family business lately. You feeling better?”

I knew Caspian was smoothing things over. Every time he got mad and wanted to make up, he’d act like

nothing happened.

“You were busy escorting someone to the hospital. Smiling like that. Never seen you smile like that before.” I

attacked without thinking.

Caspian paused Remembered. A smile spread at the corner of his mouth. “That’s my cousin. You met her

once when she was little. Her family moved abroad after.”

He explained seriously. I didn’t know what to say.

“Zoya, don’t you owe me an explanation?”

“Explanation? Didn’t I already explain?”

Caspian’s eyes burned. “You said you loved me for years. I never knew.”

“Of course you didn’t. You never looked at me.”

Caspian pinched his brow, frustrated. “Zoya! You have no heart!”

He started listing debts.

“Who tutored you in school? Who flew hours back every break to spend it with you in college? Who stayed up

all night at the hospital when you were sick?”

I held up a hand. Stopped him.

“You said Maren made you tutor me. Every vacation you came back complaining how she forced you.”

“When I was sick, you said you felt bad for Maren staying with me, so you took her place. Now you want my

gratitude?”

Caspian opened his mouth. Then sighed quietly.

“Zoya, I just thought you might not accept special treatment from me. So I made up excuses. To protect…”

He paused. “To protect my own pride.”

“I know you look tough on the outside. But you’re fragile inside. I wanted to be good to you. Take care of you.

So I kept finding reasons to give you things. So you couldn’t refuse.”

I squinted at him. “What bullshit are you spouting now? When Maren joked about me marrying you, you got so mad you didn’t come home for weeks. You think I forgot?”

Caspian froze. A bitter smile touched his lips.

“I was mad because I was afraid her saying that would make you stop coming over.”

“And something like that shouldn’t come from her mouth first.” He looked down at me. Eyes flickering. Like a

pitiful puppy

“Besides, Lara told me you had a crush on someone. For a long time. I was jealous. Pissed. Thought you had

terrible taste.”

“Never imagined she was talking about me. When you tied me up, I thought you were heartbroken and using

me as a rebound…”

My heart hammered against my ribs. Stars danced in my vision.

But I shut it down fast. Played it cool. “Oh. But I took it to heart. And it hurt me bad.”

“Zoya, you’re going to hold that grudge?”

I shrugged. “You saw how I treated my own mother. What makes you think you’re special?”

“I’m not fighting with you. I know something’s been going on with you lately. I just want the truth.”

My nails dug deep into my palms.

I smiled at Caspian. “Truth? Truth is I was pissed at your attitude. So I lied.”

“Lied?” Caspian looked at me, lost.

“Yeah.” I gritted my teeth. “Liking you was just a teenage delusion. But now I wanted to have you.”

“Because I couldn’t stand your cold, untouchable act. Had to tear it down. From experience, you’re not as

cold and celibate as you pretend. As a tool, the Don works just fine.”

I fought to keep my face from betraying me.

So Caspian narrowed his eyes. Studied me for a long time. Like he was trying to figure out if I was joking.

When he got his answer, his face went ice cold.

He threw my wrist aside. I lost my balance. Crashed into the shoe cabinet behind me.

I hit the floor. Hard.

But Caspian didn’t look back.

Good.

Never looked back for the rest of your life.
