The air in the living room froze solid.

Not in her room?

Blake’s face instantly darkened to a frightening degree.

It wasn’t until they checked the security footage that they discovered Audrey had left before dawn.

A knot of frustration tightened in Blake’s chest.

He had told her he was coming to pick her up, and she still did this.

One of the groomsmen suddenly held up his phone. “Blake, check the group chat! Someone just sent a video from the wedding venue… isn’t that Audrey?”

Blake snatched the phone.

The video was taken at The Plaza, the very hotel where their wedding was supposed to be held.

A figure in a cream-colored dress was being led by a staff member toward a bridal suite.

Blake recognized her immediately. It was his bride, Audrey.

He let out a breath of relief.

“See? What did I tell you!”

Sloane immediately laughed. “She was just planning a special entrance for you. As long as she’s here, it’s all good.”

Mrs. Langford also chimed in with a relieved smile. “That Audrey… she didn’t even say anything, making us all worry. We should get to the hotel now, we don’t want to be late for the ceremony.”

Blake took a deep breath, pushing down the irritation bubbling inside him.

The motorcade arrived at the hotel.

Blake exchanged brief greetings with guests and the media.

The guests had all arrived, and the officiant was in place.

He turned and walked toward the bridal suite.

Stopping in front of the door, which was adorned with fresh flowers, he knocked, his voice gentle.

“Audrey? It’s time. Are you ready?”

There was no response from inside.

Blake’s expression soured slightly as he gripped the doorknob and turned.

The door was unlocked.

The bridal suite was empty.

The clothes and jewelry he had carefully prepared for Audrey were all there, but she was nowhere to be found.

What made his blood run cold, however, was seeing Sloane standing in the middle of the room.

She was wearing the custom, million-dollar wedding gown, admiring herself in the mirror.
