His Childhood Sweetheart Poured Glue on Me and Pushed Me into the Pool: I Never Show Mercy to Traitors Chapter 08

His Childhood Sweetheart Poured Glue on Me and Pushed Me into the Pool: I Never Show Mercy to Traitors Chapter 08

Dane woke up the next morning.

The villa had been trashed. The walls were spray-painted in red: PAY YOUR DEBTS.

He touched the dried blood on the back of his head and slumped against the floor.

He had nothing left.

Everything he’d been proud of had turned to ashes in a single day.

Just then, his phone on the floor lit up.

An anonymous text. It had the address of the private hospital where I was staying.

Dane grabbed it like it was his last shot at survival.

If Iris forgave him. If Iris begged Rowan Knight on his behalf.

He could get everything back.

He stumbled to his feet and drove to the hospital, running every red light.

Outside the VIP ward, Dane barely got close before a bodyguard kicked him to the ground.

“IRIS! Please! Let me see her! I know I was wrong!”

He knelt there, begging like a dog.

The door opened.

Rowan wheeled me out in a wheelchair.

I wore a hospital gown, my hands and neck wrapped in bandages. My eyes were cold as I looked down at the man on the floor.

Dane crawled toward me on his hands and knees, leaving a trail of blood on the pristine white floor. The bodyguards pinned him down.

“Iris, you finally came out.”

He sobbed pathetically, blood and tears streaking his face.

“I was tricked by that bitch Chloe. She only wanted my money.”

“She took EVERYTHING and ran!”

“Iris, I’ve always loved YOU, How could I forget eight years together?”

“Give me one more chance. I’ll do ANYTHING. I’ll worship the ground you walk on!”

I looked at the pathetic mess on the floor and almost laughed.

“Dane, do you actually love me? Or do you love the Knight family behind me?”

Dane’s eyes flickered. He shook his head frantically.

“No! I just want us to go back to how we were!”

Rowan stood behind me, scoffing coldly.

“Go back? Back to when you made her stand in the rain for three hours to land you an investor?”

“Or back to when you watched her get burned by industrial glue and sprayed with a pressure hose?”

Rowan’s words hit Dane like a sledgehammer.

I pulled out my phone and played a video.

It was from that night-the one Chloe posted on social media.

In the video, I was thrashing desperately in the water, surrounded by vile laughter.

And Dane stood with his back to me, gently fixing Chloe’s hair.

“Chloe wanted a water show. Is it really that hard to play along?”

His own cold, cruel voice echoed from the video.

Dane’s face went white. His mouth opened, but no sound came out.

“Your regret means nothing now.”

I looked into his eyes, delivering my final judgment.

“Dane, you’re NOTHING. Less than the dirt on my shoe. I wasted eight years on you and you weren’t worth a single goddamn second.”

Rowan waved his hand. The bodyguards dragged Dane away.

Rowan wheeled me back into the room and poured me a glass of water.

“Feel better?”

I took the glass and shook my head gently.

“Not enough.”

I wanted them to pay back every ounce of suffering-a hundredfold, a thousandfold.

Rowan patted my head gently, smiling.

“Don’t worry. I’ve got an even better show planned for you.”
