His Captive Obsession Chapter 14

His Captive Obsession Chapter 14

I ignored their tense standoff because my rabbit had escaped from its cage, looking like a little ball of pure fluff.

“So cute, so cute, so cute…” I whispered, pulling it into a tight embrace.

Ever since we bought it, I had felt this overwhelming urge to squeeze it.

I had asked Harper about it, and she told me it was called “cute aggression.”

When people see something overwhelmingly adorable, their brains get flooded with dopamine, causing a massive surge of happiness that triggers a sudden urge to squeeze, crush, or bite it just to balance out the intense emotion.

The rabbit used to love me, but lately, I had completely overwhelmed it.

Whenever it saw me, it tried to run away. My emotions felt like they were soaring into the sky, wanting to drown in this sweet sensation forever.

Normal people could regulate this feeling, but my brain only seemed to get more excited.

Because I held it too tightly, the rabbit began to struggle wildly in my arms.

A security guard on night patrol spotted me. “So that’s how the cage got open. Give me the rabbit.”

He reached down and pulled the fluffy creature out of my arms.

A sudden, overwhelming wave of panic washed over me, eating away at my sanity like a swarm of insects.

I didn’t know how to handle the feeling.

“Give it back to me,” I demanded.

The guard replied indifferently, “Kids always lose interest eventually anyway. Let go.”

The suffocating panic of losing my pet choked off my breathing.

“Put it down.”

“I told you to put it down.”

“Mine! She’s mine!”

It didn’t work. I didn’t scream; instead, I did something far worse.

I lunged forward and bit his arm, letting out a low, animalistic growl from the back of my throat.

What was wrong with me? I couldn’t control it. I was too young to understand that this feeling was pure malice.

“My rabbit.”

My adult teeth hadn’t fully come in yet, but my sharp canines sank deep into his flesh.

The guard cried out in pain, “Let go! Let go right now!”

I tried with all my might to snap out of it, scratching the back of my own hand until the pain finally brought me back to reality.

Within seconds, Daddy rushed into the room, pulling me into a tight embrace.

“Zoe, it’s okay, it’s okay. Deep breaths. Look at Daddy, copy me… deep breaths…”

As he wiped away my tears, I noticed massive, fresh scratches bleeding across the back of his hands—far worse than my own.
