He Punished Me for Erasing Her Ink, by Carving His Rage Into My Flesh Chapter 06

Adrian ignored the dirt and picked up the torn piece of white fabric.

There was no mistaking it.

It had come from the dress Claire wore that day.

Then was the blood hers too?

He didn’t dare think any further.

Adrian ordered the forensic specialist on his security team to test the blood.

Then he grabbed Isla and dragged her onto a waiting helicopter.

Only then did she realize the danger she was in.

She shrank back and said, “Adrian, where are we going this late?”

“I’m not exactly packed for a trip.”

Adrian answered her with a cold laugh. “You’ll find out soon enough.”

Five minutes later, at an altitude of ten thousand feet.

A crew member beside them fastened a steel cable harness onto Isla’s body.

When Isla saw it, she swallowed hard. “Mr. Blackwell, what is this?”

“I’m scared of heights. And I’m pregnant. I shouldn’t be skydiving.”

But her pleas fell on deaf ears.

Adrian said, “Now you know how to be afraid? Did you think about consequences when you took Claire away?”

“Did a few nights in my bed make you think you could replace her?”

“You will never matter to me more than she does.”

Adrian tugged on the steel cable. To Isla, he no longer felt like her lover, but like the Grim Reaper itself

“Talk. What exactly happened tonight? I want the truth, not another one of your lies.”

He glanced at the million-dollar watch on his wrist.

“You have ten seconds.”

When Isla heard the countdown, she threw herself at his legs.

“Mr. Blackwell, I was wrong. I was wrong. I was only playing a joke on Claire.”

Then Isla confessed everything.

Adrian slapped her across her pretty face.

Isla was stunned. She clutched her cheek and said, “Weren’t you getting revenge for me today because of the tattoo?”

“I’m carrying your baby!”

Before she could finish, another slap landed hard across her face.

Adrian gave a cold snort. “The tattoo? Did you really think I had that tattoo artist use regular ink?”

“It was a lesson in obedience, nothing more.”

“The ink was a custom formula; it will vanish in two days. It wouldn’t have left any damage.”

And no one would have ever been able to identify her from that livestream.

“You mistook my discipline for a lack of love.”

“How could I not love the woman I planned to protect for the rest of my life? Her pain is mine to give. Not yours. Not some disposable little toy I can throw away whenever I’m bored.”

Isla screamed, “But you let me get pregnant! I must mean something!”

“Our child is your heir!”

By then, Adrian’s foot had already slammed into her chest.

He ground it down with force.

“Before you go over, I might as well tell you one more thing.”

“The child in your stomach was never yours and mine. That embryo belonged to Claire and me. I had the doctor implant it in you. Isla, in the end, you were nothing more than a surrogate.”

“You’ve squandered your chance at a comfortable life.”

Before Isla could even scream, Adrian kicked her back.
