He Mistook Me for Her. His Brother Fell for Me Chapter 10

He Mistook Me for Her. His Brother Fell for Me Chapter 10

Chloe and I were in the same group for one class.

During the final presentation, everyone in the room had to score each person.

Chloe was busy dating.

I had done almost everything, from researching to making the slides.

But I got the lowest score.

Chloe got nearly full marks.

I refused to accept it and challenged the result on the spot.

Someone immediately shouted back.

“Chloe obviously did better. And didn’t you try to steal her boyfriend before? With that kind of record, who knows if you were targeting her on purpose?”

My breath caught.

No one around me spoke up.

I stood at the front of the classroom, angry and humiliated.

Just then, I saw Julian outside the window.

Through the glass, his gaze looked dark and unreadable. It fell straight on me.

At that moment, the professor saw him too.

They actually knew each other.

The professor had stayed silent all along, probably because he had been considering Julian and Chloe’s

relationship.

Now that he saw Julian, he seemed relieved.

“Mr. Whitmore, you’re here too.”

“You saw what happened just now, didn’t you? You’ve always had good judgment. Tell us, wasn’t Chloe the

best?”

Julian stood there.

My eyes were wet, so I couldn’t see his expression clearly.

After a moment, I heard him speak.

“Yes.”

Then he added, sounding almost fair.

“But Enima did well too. Her score shouldn’t be that low.”

Because of that one sentence, they rescored me.

But my score was still lower than Chloe’s.

After class, Chloe said to me, “Emma, sometimes you have to admit it. The thing you twist yourself into knots trying to get is something other people get just by standing there.”

She was right.

She only had to stand there, and Julian would love her.

He spoiled her, protected her, and stood up for her. He wouldn’t let her suffer even a little.

As for me, who cared?

That night, I didn’t return to the student apartment.

I sat on a bus and looked out at the tall buildings beyond the window.

Only one thought remained in my head.

I would never like Julian again.

Never again.
