The wind outside grew stronger.

It reminded me of the hurricane three years ago, the one that had left me soaked to the bone.

But this time, I wasn’t standing in the rain.

The warmth of his palm made me feel safe.

time.

He gripped the ring box and finally broke down crying.

Then Adrian started the car and drove into the rainy night.

Once again, it was a night with a hurricane closing in.

I stayed in Westbridge.
