Fifteen Years Wasted, Now I’m Done Chapter 16

Bang

Tommy slammed the contract onto the desk. Gutsy, “Fine!”

“Let’s bet!”

That afternoon, I finished the selection. Took samples. Flew back to the branch with my secretary.

Landed early next morning.

Turned on my phone. The flood hit.

[Ryan Cartwright Confesses Everything! Heartless Man Wasted Fifteen Years of Her Youth!]

He’d held a press conference.

In front of the cameras. Listed every crime. Detail by detail.

The comment sections were a bloodbath.

Someone stormed the stage. Threw a punch straight at Ryan.

More people rushed forward.

Chaos.

Ryan’s company got swarmed. The lobby wrecked. Employees fled.

My secretary clutched her samples and muttered, “Trash man finally got what he deserved.”

I said nothing.

Just opened the divorce filing. Saw Ryan had signed. And walked away with nothing.

Under my lead, the branch hit our three–year performance

target in one year.

And exceeded it by a wide margin.

“Anyone who wants to follow me, stay.”

“If you want to go back to the head office, I won’t stop you. Just stand up.”

I stood in the center. Announced to everyone below.

“I’ll set you free.”

People glanced at each other.

No one stood.

“I’m staying with Hailey!”

“Me too!”

A genuine smile broke across my face. “Good!”

“Then first reward: a month of vacation! Travel expenses fully

covered by the company!”

Cheers erupted.

I looked at the empire I’d built with my own hands. Tears burned my eyes. A good kind.

As for Ryan, I never heard another word. Never looked.

But from what I gathered, he wasn’t doing well.

I only focused on myself.

I was going to live my new life.

I meant it.
