Eloped Ex Wanted Me Back? I Became His Mafia Godmother! Chapter 07

Adrian turned around, the murderous look in his eyes vanishing instantly, replaced by pure tenderness.

“Honey, feel better now?”

I nodded, my voice raspy. “Make them disappear. I never want to see them again.”

Hearing this, Adrian waved his hand in disgust.

“Drag them out.”

Soon, it was just the two of us left in the lounge.

Adrian instantly dropped his tough-guy act, burying his face in my neck like a needy golden retriever, his voice full of whining.

“Baby, this is all my fault. I’m never leaving you alone again.”

“Alright, alright,” I said, running my fingers through his hair to calm him down.

The next second, Adrian frowned, completely annoyed. “You always refused to go public with your identity because you thought it was too flashy. But look what your low profile did! It allowed those scumbags to treat you like dirt!”

“I don’t care anymore. I’m introducing you to the world right now, so no other blind bastard ever dares to touch you again.”

Before I could stop him, Adrian whipped out his phone.

He posted a family photo of the four of us across every single official Valenti social media account.

He declared to the entire empire: I am his Donna, his ultimate red line.

Watching his bossy yet protective behavior, a wave of warmth filled my heart.

The love Adrian gave me was something I had never experienced before.

Over the next few days, Adrian kept his word. He took me everywhere he went, clinging to me like I was a permanent accessory.

Finally, while he was stuck in a high-level meeting, I got a chance to take a walk by the beach.

But of course, I ran straight into the last person I wanted to see—Dante.

The moment he appeared, the bodyguards behind me pulled their guns, locking red laser sights right between his eyes.

Dante didn’t even care.

He stared at me with fake love in his eyes and rushed toward me.

When he was just a step away, I barked, “Stay the hell back! You make me sick!”

Hurt by the pure disgust in my eyes, Dante flinched, stuttering, “Mara, don’t be like this… I came here to… to apologize. I’m sorry…”

His voice got quieter and quieter, as if bowing his head to me was the most humiliating thing in the world.

Seeing me cross my arms and sneer at him—

He suddenly got extremely worked up. “Mara, I know the truth about Sienna now! That bitch is just a gold-digging whore! I was tricked by her innocent act. I… I just made a mistake that any man would make—”

“But… but how could you marry someone else?! You even had kids! Didn’t I tell you to stay home and wait for me? How could you betray me?!”

Dante’s eyes were bloodshot, his voice cracking as he screamed at the top of his lungs.

I found him absolutely hilarious.

“Betray you?! We got divorced years ago, you idiot! What, you say we’re done and I’m supposed to just accept it, and then you want me back and I’m supposed to crawl back like a dog? Do you think I’m that pathetic?”

“Have some goddamn shame, Dante! We ended five years ago! With how much I hate you, the fact that I didn’t destroy you over the last five years was the biggest mercy you’ll ever get.”

Seeing me turn to leave, Dante panicked. He lunged forward and grabbed my wrist.

“Mara, don’t go! Your daughter is Adrian’s kid, but where is our baby?”

Did Adrian force you to give him up?

“I know I messed up! For the sake of our child, please divorce Adrian, okay? Let’s get back together. I still love you…”

The moment he brought up the baby, the hatred in my chest exploded.

How did he have the nerve?!

What he owed that child could never, ever be repaid!

I violently ripped my hand free and slapped him across the face with every ounce of my strength.

“Shut your mouth! How dare you mention that baby! You don’t deserve to!”

“You want to know where he is?! Then go die right now! Go die and you can see him yourself!”

“Go let him see what a disgusting monster his father really is!”

Hearing my screaming rage, Dante looked completely blank for a moment.

His breath hitched, and he asked like an idiot, “What… what do you mean? What happened to the baby?”
