Caged Human Luna — He Stole My Freedom To Hide His Curse Chapter 11 “No Wolf, Just Us”

Elaine.

Fenris stared at me, his muscles turning to solid stone beneath my hands. His glowing, feral blue eyes flickered violently, fighting against the command I had just thrown at him.

To shut out his wolf right now, at the peak of the mating frenzy, was insane. It was forcing a part of his own soul into a cage.

“Elaine,” he growled, a pained sound that vibrated right against my chest. “You don’t know wh you’re asking. Liam is… he’s fighting me. If I force him down now, it will rip me apart.”

“Do it,” I whispered, leaning in closer until my lips almost brushed his. I felt the electric pull of the bond trying to swallow my mind, but I held onto my focus. “I need to know, Fenris. If I’m going to bind my life to yours, I need to know it’s you who wants me. Not just the ancient magic in our blood. Shut him out. Please”

A harsh gasp tore from his throat. His fingers dug into my waist so hard it bruised, and then, h dropped his head back against the stone wall.

A low, agonizing groan filled the room. The veins along Fenris’s neck burst into thick, dark tracks as he fought his own inner beast. His jaw clenched so tightly I thought his teeth would shatter. Beads of sweat broke out across his forehead.

He was shaking-a hardened commander, trembling from the sheer effort of choosing me ove his own instincts.

The elongated fangs grazing my neck receded, slipping back into his gums. When he finally looked down at me, his eyes were completely dark.

“He’s gone,” Fenris panted, looking exhausted. “It’s just me, Elaine. No wolf. Just a man who has been losing his mind over you since the day we met.”

He didn’t waste another second. Fenris claimed my mouth in a deep, filthy kiss, tongue thrusting against mine in wet, hungry strokes. I moaned into him as he lifted me, hands sliding under my shirt to palm my bare skin.

He carried me to the fur rug, laying me down before shoving my shirt up. His mouth attacked my breasts-licking, sucking, and biting my nipples until I writhed. One hand pushed between my thighs, fingers slipping under my soaked panties.

He rubbed my swollen clit in tight circles, then thrust two thick fingers deep inside me, curling and stroking relentlessly. His mouth stayed on mine, licking and devouring every whimper as he finger-fucked me faster.

The pleasure coiled tight. I shattered hard around his fingers, crying out into his kiss, slick wetness flooding his hand while waves of orgasm ripped through me. He kept kissing and licking my lips through every shudder.

Then, the world shattered.

A sudden, sharp pain ripped through the back of my skull, so violent it made my vision go pitch black. I screamed, arching off the floor as a wave of cold slammed into my chest.

“Elaine!” Fenris snapped awake instantly, throwing his arms around me as my body went rigid “What is it? What’s wrong?”

I couldn’t breathe. Distance didn’t matter. The thin, frayed remnant of the Crystal Waters pac link had just snapped.

“Help us! Alpha, please! They’re killing us!” The desperate, telepathic cries echoed in my ears, making my head feel like it was going to explode.

“The pack,” I choked out, clawing at my own chest as tears spilled down my cheeks. “Fenris… they’re attacking them. The occupation… it’s happening right now.”

Before Fenris could even pull me up, the bells at the outer gates began to clash violently through the night. Fenris stood up in a flash, pulling his trousers on and grabbing his tunic.

“Stay here,” he ordered, his voice dropping into a low, lethal register as he reached for the broadsword leaning against the stone mantle.

“No,” I said, my voice shaking but gaining strength as I scrambled up and threw on my clothes. The screams were still ringing in my head, turning my lingering fear into a cold rage. “I’m coming with you.”

We sprinted through the dark stone corridors of the stronghold, the air growing colder the closer we got to the heavy front doors. Fenris threw the wooden bolts back, slamming the door

open.

Standing at the gate, held at spear-point by two of Fenris’s sentries, was a battered, bleeding messenger. He wore the formal uniform of the High Council, but the leather was torn to shreds, and dark blood was oozing from a deep gash across his shoulder.

“Commander Fenris!” the messenger cried out, coughing up blood as he collapsed to his knees in the mud. “They lied… the Council lied to us!”

Fenris gripped the messenger by his collar, lifting him slightly. “Who lied? Speak clearly!”

The messenger’s words felt like a physical blow to my chest.

“The Lycan Empire,” he gasped, fighting for breath as mud splattered his face. “They didn’t wait.

The moment they heard you rejected the throne, they crossed the border. Three divisions of elite soldiers. They are slaughtering anyone who stands in their way. The elders are in chains. Crystal Waters has fallen.”

My stomach dropped. The Chief Elder’s warning echoed in my head like a curse: Without an Alpha, you are plunging your people into a death sentence.

It was my fault. Because I was scared, because I kept telling myself I was just a weak human fraud, I had left my people completely defenseless. I had left the gates wide open for monsters to march right in.

I stepped deeper into the downpour. The freezing rain washed the sweat and dirt from my skin, but it couldn’t cool the hot rage building in my chest. The fear that had kept me hiding in these mountains for three weeks completely burned away. I wasn’t that helpless girl locked in Ethan’s cage anymore. These were my people, and I wasn’t going to let another tyrant enslave them.

I turned to Fenris, my jaw clenched so tight it ached.

“Unleash Liam,” I commanded, my voice cutting through the thunder. “Get your weapons. We’re going to war.”

A sly smile spread across his face as the glowing blue light flared back into his eyes. He nodded, immediately barking orders to his men as the stronghold erupted into chaos behind us.

I gripped the hilt of my dagger, staring down the dark mountain path leading back to my territory. The human girl who ran away was gone. The Alpha of Crystal Waters was coming back to claim what was hers.
