Caged Human Luna — He Stole My Freedom To Hide His Curse Chapter 09 I Refuse To Be Your Alpha

“Is that all you’ve got, Alpha?” I mocked, stepping into a fighter’s stance.

Furious, Ethan dropped his head and drove forward again. He twisted mid-stride, launching into a brutal, sweeping tail-whip paired with a snapping jaw maneuver meant to pin me by t shoulder and crush my collarbone. It was the move he used to execute rogue wolves.

I stepped into his guard, blocking his snout with my forearm, took the bruising hit to my shoulder, and lunged forward. My fingers curled into claws as I caught his throat, digging de into his skin.

He thrashed, his heavy paws slamming into my stomach. The force knocked the wind out of me, sending me flying backward. I hit the floor hard, rolling to my knees, coughing up blood

Before I could stand, Ethan was over me. He shifted back into his human form mid-air, his f twisted like a demon’s. He pulled a gleaming, silver-tipped dagger from the lining of his boot

“Die, you bitch!” he screamed, driving the silver blade down toward my chest.

A shadow slammed into Ethan from the side.

Fenris.

He caught Ethan’s wrist in mid-air. With a savage grin, he twisted Ethan’s wrist, shattering it with a sound like snapping dry branches. The silver dagger clattered across the floor.

“You don’t get to cheat your way out of this, Ethan,” Fenris growled. He drove a bone-shatterin punch straight into Ethan’s jaw, lifting the Alpha off his feet and sending him crashing onto th stage. “That was for my sister.”

Fenris stepped back, bowing his head slightly to me. “He’s all yours, Luna.”

Ethan lay on the stage, spitting out teeth and blood, his broken wrist dangling uselessly at his side. He looked up at me as I walked toward him, his arrogance finally replaced by trembling

terror.

Now, I told Cole. Burn it down.

My bones melted and reshaped without a single sound of pain. Black fur erupted from my ski and where a human girl had just been standing, a massive, midnight-black wolf with glowing golden eyes now loomed over the stage.

The pack members dropped to their knees, barring their necks, their own inner wolves forcing them to submit to the sheer weight of my aura.

Ethan tried to crawl backward, his boots slick with his own blood. “Elaine… please…” he whimpered, his voice cracking.

to the stage floor. He gave a high-pitche scream that echoed through the ballroom. I raised my right paw, slashing my claws straight across his face.

The skin ripped open from his forehead to his jaw. Blood splashed everywhere. He collapsed into a heap, clutching his ruined face, sobbing in agony. He would carry the jagged scar of his defeat for the rest of his miserable life.

I shifted back to my human form, standing tall over his broken body. I wiped a splatter of blood from my cheek and looked up at the High Council.

The Chief Elder stood, raised his staff, and pointed it directly at Ethan.

“Alpha Ethan of the Crystal Waters pack has been defeated in legal combat,” the Elder announced, his voice carrying to every corner of the room. “By the authority of the High Council and the Moon goddess, he is stripped of his title, stripped of his rank, and sentenced permanent exile. If he ever steps foot on pack lands again, he will be hunted and executed.”

Two Council enforcers stepped forward, dragging a weeping, bleeding Ethan out through the side doors.

A heavy, breathless silence fell over the grand hall. I turned around to face the hundreds of pack members who had been locked in a cage of fear for years.

“The borders are open,” I said, my voice ringing clear and undisputed. “The curse was never there to begin with. You are free.”

A deafening roar of cheers erupted from the crowd. Wolves began to howl in celebration, tears streaming down their cheeks. Valery was already on the ground, being dragged away in chains by Jax’s scouts, her face pale.

Fenris walked up to the stage, stopping right in front of me. The electric spark between us was so hot I could practically see it dancing in the air. He looked at me, his eyes glinting. “You did it, Alpha Elaine,” he voiced deeply.

“We did it,” I corrected, looking down at his outstretched hand.

Fenris smiled, closing the distance between us until his massive chest was practically pressing against mine.

Mate, Cole sighed in my head, her violent energy completely melting into a puddle of satisfaction. He is ours. Take him.

Fenris cupped my face, and the moment our lips met, the mate bond ignited like wildfire. His heart thundered against mine as I clung to him, lost in the kiss.

Fenris pulled back slowly, his breathing ragged, his icy blue eyes dark with an intense, lingeri hunger. We both turned our heads toward the stage.

The Chief Elder was standing there, his heavy staff resting against the floorboards. His expression was deadpan, but his eyes were fixed on me with a profound, newfound respect. T rest of the Council Elders were nodding in agreement behind him.

“As beautiful as this sudden display of the Moon Goddess’s favor is,” the Chief Elder spoke, his voice booming across the grand hall, “we have legal matters to conclude. By the right of absolute conquest, the title of the Crystal Waters pack belongs to the victor.”

The entire pack fell to their knees, baring their necks. “Alpha Elaine! Lead us!” they chanted desperately.

But I stepped back, heart steady with clarity. “No,” I said firmly, meeting the Elder’s shocked gaze. “I refuse. I will not be your Alpha.”
