He had kept that incense orb on him for too long. The strong scent had driven him out of his mind.

The heat incense was still in the room. Faye and James walked right into it. They lost control almost instantly.

Ryan’s face flickered with confusion. He turned away, almost like he was running from something.

I couldn’t help but laugh. “Everyone says the Alpha of the Silver Moon pack is a genius. How can you not see such a

simple setup?”

The fourth day, nothing came.

But Ryan didn’t give up. Every time I left the house, he just happened to be wherever I was going.

He didn’t come close. He didn’t speak. He just watched me from a distance.

Eventually, I just stopped going out.

On the day of the bonding ceremony, the spectacle was enormous.

palace. It circled Silver Moon City once.

When we left. Faye lifted her carriage curtain and looked at me.

Her eyes were full of hate, dark and suffocating But I didn’t look back at her.

Whatever was between us ended here.

We were halfway to the ceremony when the front of the convoy went crazy.

Brakes screeched Men shouted Warriors yelled orders.

The carriage stopped so suddenly I nearly fell out of my seat.

And then I heard a voice

“Stephanie, come with me!”
