After My Mate Betrayed, I Fought Back Chapter 06

The pack house doors burst open with a crash, the sound echoing through the silent hall. Every eye turned toward the entrance as a group of heavily armed Lycan Royal Guards stormed in, their movements swift and precise. They fanned out across the room, their presence commanding immediate attention.

I watched as Captain Valerius, the leader of my personal guard, strode forward. His expression was unreadable, his eyes scanning the room with a practiced intensity. Without a word, he gave

a sharp gesture, and the guards moved to secure the perimeter, their weapons at the ready.

The pack was in chaos, the wolves scrambling to make sense of the sudden intrusion. Some growled in defiance, their hackles raised, while others cowered back, their tails between their legs. But I stood tall, my expression calm, as the guards formed a protective circle around me.

“What’s the meaning of this?” one of the pack’s senior Betas demanded, stepping forward. “You can’t just barge in here and-”

“Silence,” Captain Valerius cut him off, his voice firm but controlled. “You are in the presence of royalty. Show respect.”

The room fell silent, the only sound the heavy breathing of the pack members. I could feel their eyes on me, their confusion and fear palpable. They didn’t understand what was happening, but they knew something was very wrong.

I took a deep breath, letting my aura surge forth. It was no longer the subdued, controlled energy I had maintained for so long. This was the full force of my power, the mark of my true status. The room seemed to vibrate with it, the air thickening as the pack struggled to

comprehend the magnitude of what they were witnessing.

“I am Commander Aria Blackwood,” I declared, my voice ringing out across the hall. “Personal guard to the Lycan Royal Family. And you, Madison Sterling, have just committed treason.”

The room erupted into gasps, the pack members exchanging wide-eyed glances. They stumbled over each other, some trying to flee, others falling to their knees in panicked submission. The realization of their mistake was written plainly on their faces, and it was a sight to behold.

Madison stood frozen, her face pale and her lips trembling. She looked like she had been punched in the gut, her earlier confidence shattered. For a moment, she seemed to struggle to find her voice, her mouth opening and closing soundlessly.

Finally, she managed to speak, her voice barely above a whisper. “You… you can’t be…”

I smiled, a cold, mirthless smile. “Oh, but I am. And now, you will pay the price for your insolence.”

The room fell silent once more, the only sound the heavy breathing of the pack members. They were trapped, and they knew it. The guards had secured the exits, and the pack was surrounded. There was no escape, not for any of them.

I took a step forward, my eyes locked on Madison. She flinched, her eyes darting nervously around the room. She was searching for an escape, for a way out of this mess she had created.

But there was none.

“You should have done your research,” I said, my voice dripping with venom. “You should have learned who you were dealing with before you decided to cross me.”

Madison’s face was a mask of fear, her earlier arrogance replaced by sheer terror. She knew she had made a grave mistake, and now she was paying the price.

“But don’t worry,” I continued, my smile growing wider. “This is just the beginning. You have no idea what I am capable of, what I have endured. And now, you will find out.”

The room was deathly silent, the pack members frozen in terror. They knew they were in the presence of something ancient, something powerful. And they knew they were doomed.

As I stood there, surrounded by the remnants of the pack, I felt a sense of satisfaction. It was a cold, hard feeling, one that I had been waiting for for a very long time. They had underestimated me, belittled me, and now they would pay the price.

“Take her away,” I said, my voice firm. “And make sure she learns her lesson.”

The guards moved swiftly, grabbing Madison and dragging her away. She struggled and screamed, but it was no use. She was no match for the Royal Guards, and she knew it.

As they disappeared into the night, I turned to face the remaining pack members. They were cowering, their eyes downcast, their tails between their legs. They knew they were next.

“Don’t worry,” I said, my voice dripping with malice. “You will all get what’s coming to you. Every single one of you.”

The room was silent, the only sound the heavy breathing of the pack members. They knew they were doomed, that there was no escape from my wrath. And as I stood there, watching them, I felt a sense of triumph. I had won. I had finally won.
