After I Lost My Memory, My Star Athlete Boyfriend Said We Broke Up Chapter 26

Once the ceremony wrapped, Camille headed toward the player tunnel with Silas. Silas needed to catch a flight back to his club that evening, and she had come to see him off.

Turning the corner of the tunnel, they nearly walked right into Killian. He had changed out of his kit; his hair still damp from the shower, dressed in a plain white T-shirt and dark trousers. He appeared far more relaxed than he had out on the pitch.

The three of them halted, facing one another in the corridor.

Comments drifted across the vision overlay, glowing softly in the tunnel’s dim light.

[All three in the same frame! Their first face-to-face meeting in four years!]

[Silas grew tall, Killian calmed down, and Camille is still stunning.]

[They speak to each other so naturally… No one could have imagined this four years ago.]

“Senior!” Silas spoke first, bumping fists with him. “Congratulations. That goal was absolutely beautiful.”

“You weren’t bad yourself.” Killian glanced at the boy. “I watched the replay of your hat-trick last

week.”

Silas rubbed the back of his neck with a bashful grin. “That’s all because Camille made me do extra

drills.’

Killian’s eyes darted briefly toward Camille before he looked away again. “She does push people

hard.”

The comment section filled with laughter.

[Hahaha “She does push people hard”-he knows that better than anyone.]

[That quick glance toward Camille, then pulling away, feels like easy, familiar rapport between old friends.]

[Silas has worked so hard. Camille’s guidance paid off!]

Camille stood quietly and waited for their exchange to finish before speaking. “The car is waiting in the parking lot. Hurry, Silas, don’t miss your flight.”

Silas nodded and sprinted forward. He glanced back mid-run and waved. “Ms. Logan, senior, take

your time chatting! I’m off!”

The teenager’s light footsteps vanished around the bend.

Only the two remained in the dimly lit corridor, separated by two paces.

Killian broke the silence first. “Have you been busy lately?”

“Same as always.” Camille replied. “I’ve signed several new players, and I’ve settled into the

workflow.”

“I heard you got Silas selected to the Premier League Team of the Year last season.”

“He earned it.” Camille said. “He trains harder than you did back in your prime.”

Killian gave a soft laugh, eyes dropping to his sneakers. The sound was brief and gentle, dissolving as quickly as it came. “That’s good to hear.”

Camille watched his lowered brow, and memories washed over her.

That day at the airport four years prior, he stood before her begging for a chance. She turned him down, and he truly never pressured her again.

They crossed paths countless times over those four years, always within professional settings. His conduct had been impeccable, without fault.

For training sessions, matches, commercial events, he cooperated more willingly than at any point during their contract.

She met his gaze as he lifted his head after that quiet laugh. Four years had passed; time left few marks on his face. The youthful fire in his eyes had faded, replaced by something deeper, quieter.

“Are you planning to stick with youth academy work long-term?” Camille asked.

“Yeah.” Killian said. “Two of the kids I coach are promising talents. In another two years, they should be ready for Premier League substitute appearances. If you’re still working as an agent then, you might get the chance to sign them.”

“Sounds good.” Camille nodded. “Send me their profiles when the time comes.”

A lull settled between them again.

Distant crowd noise and shuttle bus announcements seeped through the tunnel walls, muffled and distant as if heard from underwater.

the horizon, gilding the outline of the stadium in thin gold.

As Camille exited the stadium gates, a message popped up from Silas: [Ms. Logan, I’m in the car! I’ll send you the match debrief after training tomorrow!]

Camille typed back a simple “Okay”.

She locked her phone and stood in the plaza, watching the sun dip below the horizon.

Slowly, new lines of text lit up in the comment feed.

[Camille moves forward, Killian moves forward too. They each find peace.]

[I’m grateful for this ending. No forced reunion, no manufactured tragedy. Just life, as it truly is.]

[Following this story for so long… Watching Camille recover from amnesia, struggle, and finally reach acceptance was no easy journey.]

Camille’s gaze drifted out toward the darkening sky, and a gentle smile spread across her face.

“Thank you all.” She spoke softly, her voice scattered by the night breeze. “For watching all this

time.”

Every scrolling comment froze the moment she finished speaking.

Then words bloomed again across the screen, denser and warmer than ever before, spreading

inward from the edges.

[She can see us! She’s always been able to see us! She said “thank you” to us!]

[Camille! You’re so welcome! You deserve every good thing life offers!]

[I’m crying… She knew all along. She knew we were here beside her.]

[Keep walking forward, Camille. We’ll keep watching you.]

[Live your best life, Camille. Always.]

Camille stood at the parking lot entrance, watching all those lines she could see yet had never acknowledged flicker to life in the dusk, then fade away one by one.

She smiled lightly, quiet and soft, like the new self she had grown into over four years.

The road ahead stretched far. She would build a wonderful life for herself, no matter what.
