After I Lost My Memory, My Star Athlete Boyfriend Said We Broke Up Chapter 09

Every head turned toward him, shocked.

Camille’s brief surprise faded quickly, her expression settling back into calm.

Killian clenched his fists and strode to her side, towering over her. “Drop those new signings

immediately, and I’ll pretend none of this happened. If not, I terminate our agreement

immediately.”

“Choose: me or those rookies.”

Camille stayed silent for several seconds. Just as Killian allowed himself to believe he had won, she

spoke firmly and coldly. “I am signing those rookies, no exceptions.”

A contract slid across the table toward Killian. Camille sat upright, meeting his stunned gaze

calmly. “If Mr. Lynn is dissatisfied, you may sign the termination contract right now.”

The conference room door crashed against the wall, and silence descended.

Killian’s eyes locked onto the paperwork, his gray-green pupils narrowing. He made no move to pick it up. “You’re serious?”

Camille pushed the pen forward. “Everything is written clearly in black and white. You’ve signed dozens of contracts. You understand the terms.”

Killian dragged his gaze away from the document and looked toward Silas.

Silas sat on Camille’s left, a cocky glint in his young eyes. The eighteen-year-old boy had skin bronzed from endless hours on the pitch, brimming with the fearless boldness of a newcomer ready to take on the world.

Killian let out a cold, hollow laugh. “Him? You think he can replace me?”

Silas held his stare without backing down, a faint smirk tugging at his lips. “I’ll prove Camille’s

choice is the right one.”

All amusement vanished from Killian’s face. He snatched the contract, scanned the termination

clause, then tore it in half without hesitation. Pieces of paper scattered across the desk.

“Camille, I’ll give you three days to reconsider.” Killian leaned forward, lowering his voice to a menacing murmur. “Come find me in three days, and I might still let this slide.”

He straightened and stormed out of the room. The conference door slammed shut with a heavy

thud.

Camille stared at the torn scraps, quiet for two seconds, then turned to her secretary. “Print

another copy:”

Silas spoke softly beside her. “Ms. Logan, about the three-day deadline he mentioned…”

“Pay it no attention.” Camille cut him off. “I’ve sent your legal team the commercial clauses for next week’s friendly match. Review them and sign off later.”

Silas nodded. “Got it.”

Live comments drifted along the edge of her vision.

[The dynamic between Camille and Silas is so refreshing-strictly agent and player.]

[Killian tore that contract like he’s ready for war, but Camille won’t cave to his threats.]

[Camille’s only focused on contracts and profit now. This is such a satisfying arc!]

[Wait, this isn’t supposed to happen… the plot should swing back to them reconciling!]

Camille tossed the torn paper into the trash and turned to Silas. “Alright, head back to the training facility. Don’t miss afternoon practice. I still have several endorsement deals to negotiate.”

Silas stood and left, closing the door behind him.

That evening, when Camille arrived home, she spotted someone slumped outside her apartment

door.

Killian sat on the ground leaning against her doorframe, legs stretched out, head bowed, shoulders slumped in uncharacteristic defeat.

He lifted his head at the sound of footsteps. Streetlamp light split his face into shadow and

brightness.

“You’re home.” His voice was rough.

Camille stopped two steps away, her expression neutral. “What are you doing camped outside my

door?”

“Waiting for you.”

“You said you’d give me three days.”

“I can’t wait three days.” Killian pushed himself to his feet, his tall frame blocking the light from

the hallway. “Camille, transfer those new players’ contracts away. I’ll post an Instagram statement tomorrow clearing up all the rumors. I can take back every word I said in those interviews.”

“Killian.” Camille interrupted him. “I signed you because you have market value. The drama you’ve stirred up isn’t just annoying-it’s actively damaging your commercial appeal.”

“But now you’re threatening to terminate our contract. Think carefully. The liquidated damages for an early termination are substantial. Are you truly willing to take that step?”

Killian’s features froze. “What did you just say?”

“I’m your agent.” Camille explained steadily. “Who you date, what you say to the media-that’s your business. I don’t care, as long as it doesn’t cut into my profits.”

“But you’re threatening my livelihood now. I can’t pretend nothing is wrong.”

Silence hung in the hallway for several beats.

The live comments flooded wildly.

[Damn, that hit him right where it hurts!]

[His whole demeanor just crumbled! He thought she was upset out of love, but she only cares about

business!]

(Think about it though-this is a world-famous soccer star camping outside her apartment late at night. If paparazzi snap photos, tomorrow’s headline will be “Killian Lynn Spotted Outside Ex-Agent’s Apartment: Desperation or Stalking?” He really doesn’t care about his reputation

anymore.]

(The harder he chases her, the clearer it is how much he cares. He’s desperate enough to wait

outside her door. I almost feel bad for him…)

[He’s pitiful now, but where was that sympathy when he tortured her earlier?]

[He deserves this, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t painful to watch.]

Killian stared at her for a long time, jaw tight, fists clenching and unclenching repeatedly. “Camille, you weren’t always like this.”
