After He Bought His Intern a $100K Bracelet Chapter 10

After He Bought His Intern a $100K Bracelet Chapter 10 The Invitation.

The name Ivy hit his ears and stopped him cold.

A shudder ran through Grayson before he could stop it.

Trembling all over, he yanked his office door open.

Then he saw Ivy in the middle of the crowd, glowing with happiness, her arm linked through the company owner’s.

In that instant, the blood drained from his face.

Ivy caught sight of him in the doorway.

She only curled her lip into a mocking smile and gave Sebastian’s hand a pat.

Sebastian handed her a stack of beautifully designed wedding invitations.

Ivy took them with a smile.

“I stopped by today to hand these out. I’m about to marry your boss, Sebastian.”

The word marry sent a faint tremor through Grayson.

His eyes went wild and bloodshot as he lunged forward and clamped down on Ivy’s wrist.

“Marry him? Marry who? When did you and Sebastian even get together?”

Ivy’s brow creased on instinct.

Sebastian, standing right beside her, shoved Grayson back hard.

“Watch yourself, Grayson. Lay another finger on my fiancée and I’ll end you.”

At his own boss’s words, Grayson flinched despite himself.

And when he spotted the ring on Ivy’s finger, the pain drove into his chest like a blade.

Pride forgotten, he roared at her. “Ivy, you actually went and betrayed me?”

The words had barely left his mouth when Ivy’s palm cracked across his face.

“Watch your mouth, Grayson. You and I were never anything but boss and employee. There was nothing between us. What is this, some kind of delusion?

“And for the record, Sebastian and I have known each other since I was in diapers. Who are you to stand here spreading lies?”

With that, Ivy strode over and slapped a lawyer’s letter across his face.

“I’m here to serve you legal papers, Grayson. That 300 thousand dollars you spent on the Mercedes for Chloe was money I lent you, and I expect it back on schedule.

“And as for how you, my own manager, forced me to take the fall for that intern fiancée of yours, I trust my fiancé will make sure I get justice.”

Then Ivy turned to Chloe, who stood behind Grayson, face bone-white and utterly at a loss.

“You think you’re the only one whose brother’s best friend has her back?

“I’ve got one too, Chloe. You’re finished.”

Fury spent, Ivy couldn’t be bothered to waste another glance on Grayson.

Only now did she see how spineless he really was. He’d always strutted and postured in front of her, yet here, in front of Sebastian, he didn’t dare so much as breathe.

And she’d wasted three whole years on him.
