Abandoned by My Alpha and Pup, Now their Rival’s Luna Chapter 11

Abandoned by My Alpha and Pup, Now their Rival’s Luna Chapter 11

The Truth

Serena rushes down the hallway, her face twisted in exaggerated panic.

“Alpha! How is Leo doing?”

Grayson opens his eyes. He looks at her face, and for the first time, he finds her utterly unrecognizable.

Her father is a high–ranking pack elder. Serena practically grew up in the pack house, He always thought she was fiercely loyal. He thought everything she did was for the good of the pack…

But the delirious words Leo just muttered are stabbing into his brain like

silver needles.

“How exactly have you been raising my pup?” he asks, his voice colder than a

winter storm.

Serena freezes. “What?”

“I asked you, what have you been teaching Leo?” He pushes off the wall, towering over her with lethal intent. “Money–burning cripple.‘ ‘Pull the tube.‘ ‘Filthy rogue.‘ Did you teach him those words?”

Serena’s face drains of all color. Her lips tremble. “Alpha, I didn’t… I was just speaking from a rational standpoint regarding pack resources…”

“Rational?” He lets out a dark, humorless laugh, his eyes flashing with pure Alpha rage. “Teaching a four–year–old to be ‘rational‘? Teaching him to spit in his own mother’s face–is that what you call rational?!”

“Alpha, please, let me explain-”

“Get out.”

Two words, dropping like blocks of ice.

“What happened last night was a mistake. I only touched you to spite Maeve. I’ll have the treasury transfer a sum to your account. From now on, you are never to show your face in front of me again.”

Serena’s eyes turn red.

She waited for years, finally managed to get him into bed, and this is the

result?

But seeing the murderous aura rolling off him, she knows better than to argue. She bites her lip, turns, and flees.

Grayson leans back against the wall.

He had been blinded by rage last night.

Yes, he had indulged Serena’s presence to spite Maeve, but he had never actually crossed the line until yesterday.

If it hadn’t been for last night, he wouldn’t have even realized how…

aggressive Serena was.

A chilling thought crosses his mind. He mind–links his Beta.

“Look into the incidents from January, the eighth of last month, and a few days ago. Find out exactly why Maeve was at those motels. And dig up everything on those three males.”

He used to let Serena handle all these investigations.

But if Serena had her own agenda…

Panic claws at his throat. He quickly opens the phone and types:

[Maeve, I’m sorry.]

He stares at the screen. One minute passes. Five minutes. Ten.

Her silence terrifies him more than any scream.

He sends another: [Leo keeps crying for you. Just come back and see him. Please?]

Then, he slowly slides down the wall, burying his face in his hands.

He remembers locking her in that dark closet last night. Her mouth gagged, her wrists bound, forced to listen to him fucking another female.

He remembers her screaming that her mother was going to jump, and him calling her a liar.

His chest tightens so hard he can barely breathe.

#{12|Framed}#

An hour later, his beta reaches him through the mind link.

“Alpha, I found something. It’s too much of a coincidence. The second and

third males both received massive wire transfers from the same offshore

account right before the raids…”

“The first male is still unidentified–just a blurry back on the footage. But the pattern is undeniable.”

“Alpha… all three ‘infidelity‘ incidents were meticulously staged. Luna was framed.”

Grayson stares at the wall, his fist slamming into the nightstand hard enough to split the wood.

He remembers the first time. Maeve kneeling on the floor, sobbing, “I swear I

don’t even know him.” He didn’t believe her.

The second time: “I have no idea how I got here.” He still didn’t believe her.

The third time, she said nothing at all, and he convinced himself it was guilt.

Actually, deep down, he never fully believed she would betray him.

But every single time, he let Serena handle the evidence. And Serena’s “proof” was always flawlessly damning.

He had his doubts, but he was too arrogant to dig deeper.

Or rather, he wanted a reason to punish her. To punish her for getting pregnant and forcing him into a mating he thought he didn’t want.

He let Serena draft that Severance Pact–just to humiliate her.

But the most damning proof of her innocence had been right there all along, and he had deliberately ignored it.

The mate bond.

If another male’s body had actually entered hers, the severed loyalty of the

bond would have triggered a tearing, agonizing pain in his abdomen.

He never felt a single cramp. Not once.

He had convinced himself the bond was just weak because they weren’t fated. But the truth was, she had never been touched.

“Call the Council,” his voice comes out as a broken rasp. “Hand all the evidence over to the Enforcers. And file charges against Serena for the premeditated endangerment of a pack elder and a pup.”

He cuts down the link.

Suddenly, a massive, gaping hole rips open in his chest.

For the next few days, he practically lives at the hospital, waiting for any word from Maeve.

Leo wakes up in a daze, asking over and over, “Where’s Mom?”

Grayson has no answer.

Maeve has simply erased them from her existence.

#{13|Exile}#

Serena is dragged away by the Werewolf Council Enforcers half a month later.

But she isn’t charged with framing Maeve or endangering Lyra. The evidence for those specific crimes is too thin to secure a heavy sentence.

So, Grayson sets a trap.

He exposes Serena’s father for embezzling massive amounts of resources from the pack’s treasury. As the Magistrate, Serena not only knew about it but forged pack documents to cover his tracks.

The evidence is bulletproof. She can’t deny it.

When the Enforcers kick down her door, Serena’s face is as white as bone.

“Grayson, I gave you years of my life, and this is how you treat me?”

As she is dragged past him, she suddenly bursts into manic laughter.

“Do you really think locking me up will bring her back? You’re dreaming! Her mother is dead. She will never forgive you for as long as she lives. Never!”

The Enforcers haul her away.

Grayson stands frozen in the courtyard. He pulls out his phone and opens his

texts with Maeve.

Over the past two weeks, he has sent hundreds of messages.

From “I’m sorry” to “Leo misses you” to “I was wrong.”

Not a single reply.

She hasn’t blocked his number. She just completely ignores his existence.

He shoves the phone back into his pocket and turns toward his truck.

He has to pick Leo up from the pack school.

The instructors told him Leo has been sitting in the corner by himself lately. When they asked what was wrong, he said, “I’m waiting for my mom to come get me.”

Grayson walks out of the school gates, holding Leo’s little hand.

The setting sun stretches their shadows across the dirt path.

Leo suddenly looks up. “Dad, did Mom leave because I liked Auntie Serena

more?”

Grayson’s throat tightens.

It takes him a long time to finally answer. “No. It’s me. I drove her away.”

“Then just apologize and bring her back,” Leo tugs at his hand. “When you do something wrong, you just say sorry, right? Another pup in my training group broke my toy, and when he apologized, I forgave him.”

Grayson doesn’t answer.

He wants to apologize now, but she doesn’t want to hear it anymore.

His mind drifts back to their academy days. Maeve was radiant. He pursued her relentlessly, but she always pulled away, terrified that their rank differences would end in tragedy.

Then came the night of the graduation banquet. He drank a spiked cup of wine, and when he woke up, Maeve was in his bed.

When Maeve got pregnant, the pack elders forced the mating. He thought she had trapped him, so he punished her with coldness for four years.

He lets out a bitter laugh.

He finally remembers who handed him that cup of wine. It was Serena.

Maeve had just walked into the wrong room and became Serena’s

scapegoat.

He hated the wrong female. And he ruined everything.

#{14|Three Years Later}#

Three years later.

Grayson brings Leo to a massive gathering hosted by the Shadowfall Pack.

Leo has grown taller, dressed in a sharp little suit. He is no longer the arrogant, loud pup he used to be; he has become quiet and withdrawn.

While Grayson is speaking with other Alphas, his eyes suddenly catch a figure in the corner of the grand hall.

A female in an emerald green dress.

She is holding a toddler–a pup barely two years old–gently wiping his mouth with a soft smile on her face.

All the blood rushes straight to Grayson’s head.

Maeve.

He searched for her for three years. He hired trackers, contacted the Council, but she had vanished like a ghost.

And now, she is standing just ten steps away, holding another pup, looking so completely at peace.

Leo sees her too.

He breaks away from Grayson and sprints across the room, throwing his arms around Maeve’s legs. “Mom!”

Maeve looks down at the boy clinging to her, and the warm smile instantly

vanishes from her face.

“Mom! You’re finally back! I missed you so much!”

Leo looks up, heavy tears spilling down his cheeks. “I had a fever and you never came! The other pups call me motherless, I-”

“Let go,” her voice is dead calm.

Leo freezes, but his little hands grip her dress tighter.

“I said let go. You’re scaring my pup.” Maeve takes a step back, shielding the toddler in her arms.

The little boy blinks his big eyes, looking curiously at Leo. “Mommy, who is that?”

Mommy.

That word stabs into Leo’s ears like a silver blade.

He stares wide–eyed at the toddler in Maeve’s arms.

“Mom… why are you holding another pup?” His voice cracks in pure panic. “You said I was your only pup! You promised!”

Maeve looks at him, and suddenly, she smiles.

It is the kind of smile you give a complete stranger.

“So you’re a pup nobody wants,” she says, her tone light and airy. “How tragic for you.”

Leo bursts into agonizing sobs, his entire body going rigid.

Grayson storms over, his chest heaving. “How can you say that to him? He’s your own flesh and blood!”

Maeve slowly raises her eyes to meet Grayson’s.

After three years, he looks haggard, a shadow of the Alpha he used to be.

“I only have one flesh and blood.” She kisses the toddler’s forehead.

She turns to walk away.

Leo wails, throwing himself forward to grab her leg again. “Mom, don’t go! I’m sorry! I shouldn’t have broken your amulet! I shouldn’t have called Grandma names! Mom-”

“Back off, pup. You’ve got the wrong female.” A tall, imposing male steps in, shielding Maeve and the toddler behind his broad back.

Alpha Julian.

He nods to his guards. “Escort my Luna and our pup to the private lounge.”

Maeve doesn’t look back once as she walks away.

Grayson stands paralyzed.

Julian? The ruthless Alpha of the Shadowfall Pack?

What did he just call her? His Luna?

A horrifying realization hits Grayson. Over the past three years, his pack’s most vital resources and alliances were systematically destroyed. Every time he investigated, the trails led to the Shadowfall Pack.

He thought it was just territorial rivalry. Now he understands—it was Maeve.

She had been his mate for four years. She knew every weakness in his pack’s defenses, every flaw in his ledgers.

He had never hidden anything from her.

Grayson’s heart twists violently. He thought she couldn’t live without him.

But she had already built a new life, a new family, and was tearing his empire down piece by piece.

#{15|The Rejection}#

To see Maeve one last time, Grayson plays his final card.

He sends word through the Council that he is ready to formally execute the Rejection Ritual.

She finally appears.

Outside the Council Hall, Maeve stands in a long black coat. Her eyes are as

still and cold as a frozen lake.

Leo hides behind his father’s leg, timidly whispering, “Mom.”

Maeve glances at him, but doesn’t acknowledge him.

Grayson steps forward, his voice desperate, his eyes pleading. “Maeve,

please. We don’t need to do this. I can still feel it… the bond is still there, I

know it is.”

Maeve lets out a cold, mocking laugh. “The bond is already dead, Grayson. I signed the pact, and we’ve been separated for three years. It withered away naturally a long time ago.”

“Then why come here?” Grayson steps closer, a pathetic glimmer of hope in his eyes. “If it’s dead, why do the ritual? You still care, don’t you?”

“I want it done,” she says, her voice leaving no room for his delusions. “I want it clean and on pack record.”

“For Julian?” Grayson’s breath hitches. “Leo and I have been waiting for you. How could you just throw us away?”

“You arranged those three setups just to get this exact result, didn’t you?” Maeve cuts him off, her tone dripping with absolute disdain.

Grayson’s eyes widen. “What?”

“That first male. The one who stumbled into my room. That was Julian.” Maeve stares dead into his eyes. “You didn’t arrange it, but you allowed

Serena to frame me.”

Grayson stops breathing.

“Three times, Grayson. Three times. And you never once bothered to investigate?” She steps closer, pronouncing every word with lethal precision. “Otherwise, it wouldn’t have happened three times.”

His throat feels like it’s been crushed.

After a long, agonizing silence, his voice is barely a whimper:

“About the setups… and about Lyra… I’m so sorry.”

At the mention of her mother, Maeve’s eyes flash red for a fraction of a

second.

“Save your breath,” Maeve says, her voice echoing with the authority of a true

Luna.

She doesn’t wait for him. She takes the lead, her eyes locking onto his broken

ones.

“I, Maeve of the Shadowfall Pack, reject you, Grayson of the Obsidian Pack, as my mate and my Alpha.”

The words strike Grayson like physical blows. He shakes his head frantically, tears finally spilling over his cheeks. “No… Maeve, please, no…”

“Accept it,” she commands, her voice laced with an icy, undeniable power.

Grayson’s throat bobs. He knows if he refuses a formal rejection from a chosen mate, the Council will strip him of his rank anyway. He has no choice.

“I… I, Grayson of the Obsidian Pack…” he chokes on a sob, “…accept your rejection.”

The moment the words leave his lips, Grayson drops to his knees. A phantom agony rips through his chest, a suffocating, tearing pain mourning the final, absolute death of a bond he took for granted. He gasps for air, clutching his heart, curling into the dirt.

But Maeve? She feels absolutely nothing. Just sweet, liberating emptiness.

She turns and walks out.

Leo finally breaks, wailing at the top of his lungs. “Mom–Mom, don’t go! I’ll be good! I won’t say bad words anymore! I’ll listen to you-”

Maeve doesn’t stop.

Stepping out of the Council Hall, the bright sunlight makes her squint.

She pulls out her phone and makes a call. “The ritual is done. Leak the

financial documents.”

“And release the video of Grayson and Serena. I want them ruined.”

#{16|Ashes and Sunlight}#

The fallout was instantaneous and brutal.

The leaked financial ledgers exposed the Obsidian Pack’s deep–rooted corruption to the Werewolf Council. But it was the video–the disgusting, undeniable footage of Grayson and Serena mating in the Alpha’s bedroom while his innocent mate was locked inside the closet–that truly destroyed him.

The neighboring packs were disgusted by his dishonor. No Alpha would ally with an Alpha who treated his Luna and his bond with such sickening cruelty.

Within a month, the Obsidian Pack’s territories were entirely absorbed by the Shadowfall Pack.

Grayson was stripped of his Alpha command by the Council. Shamed and broken, he was reduced to a wandering rogue. Leo was dragged into exile with him, growing up in the dirt, forever blaming his father for losing the only mother who ever truly loved him. Every time Grayson looked at his pup’s resentful eyes, he was forced to relive the agonizing phantom pain of his rejected bond.

As for Serena, the Council threw her into the silver–lined dungeons for treason, embezzlement, and the endangerment of a pack elder. She would rot in the dark, screaming at the stone walls, just like she had forced Maeve to do.

Far away from the ruins of her past, Maeve steps out of a sleek black SUV.

Alpha Julian is waiting on the porch of the Shadowfall pack house, holding their giggling pup in his strong arms. Seeing her, his eyes light up with pure

adoration.

He walks down the steps, wrapping his free arm securely around her waist, and presses a soft, lingering kiss to the crook of her neck.

“Is it finally over, little wolf?” he murmurs, his scent of pine and rain wrapping around her like a protective shield.

“Yes,” Maeve smiles, leaning into the warmth of her true mate. The shadows of the past are completely gone from her eyes. “I’m finally home.”
