Lexi was stunned into silence, her eyes darting around as she gripped her hands. She stammered: 

“I… I was just guessing! I just wanted to stir up drama for followers. I never thought there’d actually be something there!” 

“If I knew, I wouldn’t have exposed it and incriminated myself, would I?” 

Lexi’s suspicion was indeed the lowest. 

The officer looked past her and locked onto the silent Julian, 

his voice harsh: 

“You’re the owner. You know who has the keys to the pantry, right?” 

Julian’s face was pale. He swallowed hard, gave me a deep look, 

and spoke slowly: 

“…Me, and Seraphina.” 

I looked up calmly and interrupted him: 

“Not just us. Lexi has them too.” 

I looked at the officer and said clearly: 

“She not only has the pantry keys, but the codes to every door 

in The Gilded Sage.” 

Julian had always said Lexi was the “sister” he grew up with, 

so she could come and go as she pleased. 

But Lexi always had a big mouth. 

The first time she came, she joked that the kitchen never 

washed the vegetables, leading to a wave of complaints. 

The second time, she claimed the wine was watered down, 

which chased away a major investor Julian had been courting. 

The third time, she happened to be there during a health inspection and told the inspector the place was a health hazard, nearly getting us shut down. 

After that, I forbade her from coming back. 

Julian agreed and said he’d lectured her. 

But months later, here she was again. 

I glanced at the panicked Lexi, a faint smile on my lips. 

I was eager to see the consequences of her fourth time running her mouth. 

Lexi snapped like a cornered animal, glaring at me and 

screeching: 

“Seraphina, you’re just jealous of my bond with Julian, so you’re trying to drag me down with you!” 

“Please, he and I are just ‘bros.‘ If we wanted to be together, we would have been ages ago. You wouldn’t even be in the picture.” 

Beside us, the silent Julian suddenly pointed at me, his voice full of heartbreak: 

“Officer, I suspect Seraphina did this.” 

I wasn’t surprised. 

Since he was willing to kill me for Lexi in the past, he would inevitably choose to sacrifice me now, regardless of who planted the bag. 

I watched coldly as he continued to twist the truth: 

“She handled all the ingredients and spices this weekend. I trusted her completely and never checked her work.” 

“Furthermore…” he paused, “She previously tried to order a batch of industrial grease, which I strictly forbade and destroyed. I didn’t think she’d double down and touch something even worse!” 

He gave me a look of feigned disappointment and spoke solemnly to the police: 

“Even if she is my girlfriend, I will not protect her. Please, do your job!” 

The officer finally looked at me, his voice stern: 

“Seraphina, what do you have to say?” 

I calmly pointed to a bowl of Consommé on a table: 

“That’s a dish I prepared today. You can test the soup and the ingredients right now. You’ll see if there’s anything addictive in there.”
