Bully Her? She’s the Mafia Princess Chapter 01

Bully Her? She’s the Mafia Princess Chapter 01

Vincent and I had been together for eight years, ever since college.

With our wedding just around the corner, he came to me with an outrageous proposal.

He wanted his first love, Isabella, to marry into the Costa family alongside me, two women sharing one husband.

I forced down my anger and asked him, “Are you sure you want to make your first love your mistress?”

Vincent shook his head. “She’s not the mistress,” he said flatly. “You are.”

I stared at him in disbelief, wondering if he had lost his mind.

He actually wanted the only daughter of New York’s most powerful mafia family, the Thornes, to be his mistress?

When I didn’t answer right away, Vincent thought I was wavering.

He softened his voice and coaxed, “Bella has a gentle personality. Her parents passed away young, and she doesn’t have anyone to rely on.”

“If she became the mistress, she’d definitely be mistreated by the family.”

“We can still give have a proper wedding, but I need to give Isabella a marriage certificate as well. That way, her future would be secure.”

“So you want me to be the dirty little secret?” Fury throbbed at my temples, but my voice came out eerily calm.

Vincent frowned, irritation creeping into his tone. “Evie, I don’t want it to be like this either. But Bella… she has nothing except me. I have to protect her.”

“Don’t worry, you’ll both be my women. I’ll treat you equally. Bella is very kind, she’d never make things hard for you.”

Back when he was chasing me, he swore he’d love only me for his entire life. Now, with the wedding approaching, he was thinking about having his cake and eating it too?

Absolutely ridiculous.

I took a step back, disgust in my eyes. “Mr. Costa, please leave. If you love someone else, our wedding is off. Don’t mention it again.”

Vincent sighed helplessly, looking at me as if I were being completely unreasonable.

“Evelyn, the invitations from the Thorne and Costa families have already been sent worldwide.”

“The church and reception venue are booked. If you call off the wedding now, what about your reputation? What about the Thorne family’s honor? Don’t say such childish things again.”

I was shaking with rage. He had been sneaking around with Isabella for years, but he chose to push this issue right before the wedding. He had timed it perfectly, knowing I was trapped.

“So according to you, Mr. Costa, should I be thanking you for not waiting until the wedding day to bring her straight to the church and surprise me?”

Vincent’s face darkened. “It’s just a title! You’re the Thorne family heiress. Who would dare look down on you? Why are you being so petty about this?”

“Besides, what successful man only has one woman? I know you’re generous and that you love me.”

“Just show me your usual tenderness and understanding. Don’t act like some bitter, jealous wife.”

I closed my eyes and held back as long as I could, but then I couldn’t anymore. I slapped him across the face.

I put all my strength into it, and his cheek swelled up instantly.

Vincent clutched his face, staring at me in disbelief. “Evelyn! Are you crazy?”

“The invitations have already gone out! Everyone knows you’re marrying me! If you call off the wedding now, who’s ever going to want you?”

“I’m telling you, you’re getting married whether you like it or not!”

“If you still want a place in the Costa family in the future, go home and tell your father yourself. Tell him you’re voluntarily giving up the legal wife position to Bella!”

My face as cold as ice, I stared at him for a long moment. So this was why he’d dared to come alone today. He’d known my parents were in Italy on business.

He wanted to force me into submission so he could have his perfect life without facing any consequences.

He wanted to push around the Thorne family heir? Not a chance.

My voice was deadly serious. “What did you just call me?”

Vincent froze.

I tilted my head and looked at him with cold, intimidating stare. “Evie? Evelyn?”

I waved my hand, and the soldiers waiting outside immediately jogged in, the Thorne family’s finest.

“I didn’t mind you calling me Evie when we were dating.” Just thinking about what he’d said made me laugh with rage.

“But now, you will address me properly as Miss Thorne.”

“Throw him out.”
