His Ex Wore My Ring, So I Married His Rival Instead Chapter 04

“What did you say?” Brandon froze, then raised his voice. “What do you mean?”

He was about to follow me when Vanessa suddenly collapsed. “Brandon, my stomach hurts so bad!”

Katie rushed over and blocked my path, jabbing a finger inches from my nose.

“You must’ve hurt her baby when you shoved her! Don’t think you can make excuses and just leave!”

Linda snapped out of her shock and hurried to help Vanessa up. “Is my grandbaby okay?”

She turned to glare at me, her eyes full of hatred. “Olivia, you manipulative little bitch! You knew you couldn’t compete with Vanessa, so you tried to hurt her! I bet you already knew she was carrying Brandon’s baby. That’s why you shoved her so hard!”

“You’re not going anywhere!”

Katie grabbed my arm and dragged me back inside. “Mom, I’m calling 911! If Vanessa needs a blood transfusion, Olivia can donate!”

I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.

I tried to pull free, but Katie’s grip held firm. My arm hurt as she dragged me back, and I spoke through clenched teeth.

“Katie, I didn’t push her. But if you lay another hand on me today, you’ll regret it.”

Before I could say anything else, Linda raised her hand and slapped me across the face.

“What would I regret? My biggest regret is agreeing to let you marry Brandon! If anything happens to Vanessa’s baby, you’re going to pay!”

Vanessa grimaced and pulled off the wedding ring with trembling fingers.

“Olivia, I’ll give you back the ring. Please don’t take my baby away from me. I’ve already lost Brandon. You can’t take my baby too.”

Brandon couldn’t hold back any longer. He scooped her up in one rough motion.

“Vanessa, don’t say that. I’m not leaving you. No one can take me away from you. I’m taking you to the hospital right now!”

He shot me a cold look. “Olivia, my mother’s right. You caused this, so you’re coming too!”

Katie and Linda grabbed me from either side.

“Did you hear him? Move! We don’t have time for this!”

Robert sighed and grabbed Linda’s hand. “Enough. Brandon’s the one in the wrong today. Our family will take responsibility for Vanessa and her baby. But this has nothing to do with Olivia. Let her go.”

Linda froze, then her face flushed red. Instead of releasing me, she tightened her grip.

“Robert, I’ve seen the way you look at Olivia! Why are you so protective of her? Do you want her for yourself? You must be thrilled that Brandon isn’t marrying her now!”

She kicked him hard in the knee.

His face twisted with anger. “You’ve completely lost your mind!”

Suddenly, his expression changed. He clutched his chest and started to collapse.

I remembered Brandon telling me his father had a heart condition. My heart sank, and I reached for him.

“Mr. Miller, are you okay?”

Linda grabbed me by the hair. “What are you doing? Trying to put your hands on my husband right in front of me? Have you no shame?”

Pain tore through my scalp as she yanked my head back.

Brandon frowned at the commotion. “Olivia, I’ll deal with you at the hospital over what happened to Vanessa and my dad. Right now, Vanessa comes first.”

Katie smirked and dragged me along even harder.

“Brandon, you should’ve done this from the start! If Vanessa loses the baby, we’ll strip this slut naked and let Vanessa take it out on her!”

But we’d barely taken two steps when a group of men forced everyone back.

Before I could react, Alexander stormed in with a team of bodyguards.

Brandon recognized him and immediately panicked. “What are you doing here?”

Alexander ignored him. He stared at Linda and Katie as they hauled me toward the exit, then waved his hand.

“You hurt my wife? Restrain them all!”

The bodyguards immediately stepped forward.
