She Wore My Kidney, I Wore Her Ruin Chapter 03

She Wore My Kidney, I Wore Her Ruin Chapter 03 The Truth Behind the Blacklist
“Bianca’s life is miserable, but she brought it on herself. Clara was kind enough to donate a kidney to her. But she turned around and accused Clara of going after her husband.”
“That husband of hers never looked like a decent man.”
“A man with eyes that restless? His outside child is already in kindergarten. Bianca still believed him. Now look. He schemed her out of everything.”
Listening to them, I finally learned what had happened.
Her husband, Victor Hale, had conned her out of every last bit of her property and was now trying to divorce her.
Bianca had always been sharp. Unfortunately, she was hopeless when it came to love.
Every relative had warned her to choose carefully. She refused to listen.
Now she was facing the consequences she deserved.
I would never forget what Victor asked the doctors outside the operating room.
“If she doesn’t get a kidney transplant, how long can she live? What would make her condition worsen faster?”
That was not normal.
Normal people asked how to stop a patient from getting worse.
He asked the opposite.
After I donated the kidney, I wanted to tell Bianca everything. Before I could speak, while I was still lying weak in a hospital bed, she yanked me up.
She screamed that I had seduced Victor.
I was so furious I nearly blacked out.
“Clara, I knew you weren’t kind enough to donate a kidney for nothing. So this was it. You wanted my husband!
“You’re so calculating. Did you think saving me would make me worship you forever?”
Her bloodshot eyes cut straight into me.
I looked at the printed chat logs in her hand.
Pages were filled with messages supposedly from me, praising Victor and even saying I wanted to have his child.
I laughed from sheer rage.
But no matter how I explained, she refused to believe me.
She even wrote a complaint letter and sent it to my school.
I had already been offered early admission to a graduate program. After receiving the report, the school informed me, very politely, that my recommendation had been revoked.
Then she went online and livestreamed herself cursing me.
The internet tore me apart.
And now she thought one little “sorry” could make me forgive her?
She could keep dreaming.
Halfway through Uncle Arthur’s birthday dinner, Bianca sent me a photo.
The background was a hospital.
She was on dialysis.
I was surprised. Then a text came in.
“I’m being punished. Kidney failure again. Clara, I don’t have the face to ask you for anything this time. This is my punishment.
“I’m just not willing to accept it. Victor Hale, that bastard, destroyed you and me.”
“I don’t want to die while he walks free.”
I did not reply. I blocked that number too.
I was not a saint.
Compared with Victor, I hated Bianca more.
She had thrown away our bond and tried to crush me to death.
After leaving the hotel, I told Eleanor I would leave in two weeks for the overseas branch. I had no idea when I would be back.
“Bianca relapsed?” I asked.
She sighed.
“She was doing fine after you left. Later, Victor showed his true colors and brought that woman home. Bianca lost it and fought with him.
“After that, she stayed depressed for a long time. Add the cold violence at home, and of course she relapsed.
“Clara, whatever you decide, we support you. Don’t wrong yourself anymore.”
I nodded and got into the car.
After thinking for a while, I still had the driver turn toward the hospital.
I had just reached the door of the ward when I heard a familiar voice.
“Bianca, this time your sweet little sister isn’t here to give you another kidney. How long do you think you can live?
“Just die already. Why bother with treatment?”
Bianca exploded.
“Victor Hale, you’ll pay for this! My sister is back. She won’t let you get away with it!”
“Maybe the Clara from three years ago would have. Now? She probably hates you more than anyone.”
Through the crack in the door, I could see the contempt on Victor’s face.
“Your sister will never forgive you in this lifetime. Back then, after you reported her, I sent those intimate photos of me and her to her boyfriend’s parents. The Kingsleys are powerful. They pushed it from behind and made sure she couldn’t stay in this city. She had to run. She probably wants to kill you.”
My blood turned to ice.
I stood outside the door, frozen.
My fists clenched before I realized it.
So that was why I had been hunted from all sides back then.
So that was why the Kingsley family had blacklisted me.
Victor Hale, get ready.
