My Wedding Was Ruined By A Fake DNA Result Chapter 08

My brother took that punch head-on.

“What happened to her?!” Julian lifted his head. His eyes were bloodshot, like a male lion on the verge of going berserk.

“She’s dead. Are you satisfied?! That day you were all clearly at the hospital. Why didn’t you take her for treatment? Why?!”

Serena looked at the enraged Julian, bit her lower lip hard, and wanted to use her old trick again.

“Julian, calm down! Maybe Faye bribed that nurse again and deliberately made the nurse say that in front of us?”

This time, no one listened to her full-of-holes words anymore. My brother’s face turned pale bit by bit.

“What did you say?”

My mom staggered two steps and nearly fell to the ground.

My dad subconsciously shook his head. “What nonsense. Impossible. Faye’s body has always been very good.”

Julian laughed – cold, bitter. He swept his gaze across everyone in the room.

He’d just had someone investigate. The results were devastating.

“Healthy? Healthy?! Where did that even come from?! For five years – she never ate fruit, never ate protein – just bread and oatmeal every single day. Even steel would’ve broken down!”

“You made her pay ten thousand every month! And Hudson – I didn’t even know you’d gotten her blacklisted

– threatening every company that tried to hire her! Why else do you think she was working those

under-the-table jobs – dawn till midnight?!”

Hudson’s lips trembled. His whole body shook.

–

“Under-the-table jobs?! But I thought you were supporting her quietly – weren’t you?! What are you talking about – bread and oatmeal?!”

Serena’s composure was crumbling.

Hudson’s eyes locked onto her – dark and bloody.

He lunged – grabbing her by the collar.

“Serena – you told me Julian was sending her money!”

Serena’s tears spilled. Her voice quivered.

“I must’ve been mistaken… I thought Julian was sending her money every month…”

Julian reached out slowly and squeezed her face between his fingers.

“When exactly did you see that? Serena – you’re unbelievable. You don’t even try to make it sound real

anymore.”

My mother understood everything. Tears poured down her face.

“Vivian… my baby…”

She collapsed to the floor – sobbing.

I used to dream about this – about them crying over me, worried sick.

But now that I was watching it – all I felt was bitter irony.

Mom, Dad, Hudson – why couldn’t you love me when I needed it most?

–

Julian why did you betray me? Why pretend to love me now?

What happened next was absurd. Pathetic.

They were all blaming Serena.

Because I died – they felt guilty. Started doubting her.

My innocence – it took death to prove it.

–

My father’s voice cracked. “Serena – that story about Vivian bullying you at school that was fake too,

wasn’t it?!”

Serena hadn’t expected that old lie to surface now. She tried to stay calm – but panic flickered in her eyes.

“No she really did she locked me in the bathroom-made me drink dirty water-and-and-”

She kept trying to bury me.

But Hudson wasn’t buying it anymore.

His voice went cold.

“And what else? You showed Mom those self-harm scars on your arm – said Vivian was bullying you, gave you depression – and that’s why we believed you. That’s why we faked her identity, threw her out, made her

suffer to ‘fix’ her.”

“But think about it – after Vivian left – your depression just… disappeared?”

The more Hudson dug – the more he saw.

“I’ll find out the truth. All of it.”

Serena knew the game was up.

The mask dropped. Her face twisted.

“So what if I did it?! She still lost to me! She deserved to die!”
