The Erased S-Rank Daughter Chapter 01

The Erased S-Rank Daughter Chapter 01

Hunt training results were out. I scored an S-rank. And my twin sister? She barely scraped a D.

But when the acceptance letter from Silverfang Academy arrived at the Pinehollow Pack, my mother, the Moon Goddess, handed it straight to my sister.

“You look identical in human form anyway. Maisie is going to Silverfang Academy in your place.”

I glared at her, claws almost unsheathing. “Why?”

Dad–our Alpha–slammed his fist into the table, shattering it.

“Why? Because you’re a greedy witch! You drained all your sister’s nutrients in the womb–that’s why her wolf is so weak!”

My brother Rafe chimed in with a malicious smirk.

“You owe her. It’s just a school swap. Stop whining.”

That last thread of family bond? Gone.

I walked away, found a quiet corner, and dialed Wolfcrest Academy.

“Hello… Yes, I’m accepting the early admission spot you reserved for me in the S-tier combat program.”

…

A roar of excitement came through the receiver. “Wait, really? Oh my god, Audra Keene–okay, amazing!”

“So just to confirm–we’ll provide you with everything!”

“S-tier ranking, a personal mentor, dedicated training grounds, a free apartment, full scholarship. Plus, direct entry into the Wolfcrest Pack after graduation.”

“Thank you for choosing us! We can’t wait to see you on campus this fall!”

“Thank you!” I hung up.

I was alone in the den. My wolf and I, curled up together in this freezing room.

I had always known my duty as a princess of the Pinehollow Pack. Growing up, I trained like hell. My hunt scores were always top of the class.

But Maisie? She was frail from childhood, her shifts so unstable she could barely hold her wolf.

My brother Rafe was the pack’s next Alpha. Maisie was the fragile jewel held close to my parents’ hearts.

Only me–stuck in the middle, self-sufficient, invisible.

A second later, my phone buzzed frantically.

Rafe had posted on the Pack forum: [Congrats to my sister Maisie for scoring S-rank in the hunt! She’ll be attending Silverfang Academy this fall!]

The entire pack went wild.

[Wow! Maisie is amazing. My pup barely made it into Community Wolf College.]

[Truly the Alpha’s daughter. Making us so proud!]

[By the way, how did Audra do?]

I was about to reply, hadn’t even opened the thread–

[Your account has been banned by Rafe]

Then he answered for me.

[Audra? She only got a D. Community Wolf College might not even take her. Total embarrassment. Ignore her.]

My parents chimed in below.

[Forget Audra. We’re taking Maisie to register at Silverfang Academy today. Anyone who wants a campus tour is welcome!]

[Count me in!]

[Me too!]

I locked my phone and stared at the wall. My claws flexed. I burned to tear something apart.

Their whole lives, they made sure I’d never outshine Maisie.

Not once.

Mom and Dad never mentioned my achievements to anyone.

As for Rafe? Once, he shattered my training medal right in front of me and roared, “Keep your trash out of our house!”

But when Maisie won a prize at a sports meet? They framed it and hung it in the living room like it was the Mona Lisa.

So, yeah. To everyone else, I was the mess-up. Nobody even questioned it.

I stood up and dragged a wooden box from under my bed.

Inside were all my medals and trophies–all smashed by Rafe.

I had secretly glued them back together.

I was used to Mom and Dad favoring Maisie. But why Rafe? Why did he have to treat me like this too?

When we were little, he was my favorite brother. He’d hand me candy after school and whisper, “You’re amazing, Audra!”

But everything ended on our eighth birthday.

Maisie almost died during a training session, and Rafe blamed me for all of it.

“You owe her, Audra.”

I’ve heard those words a million times in my life.

My clothes, my room, my privacy… and now, it seemed, even my future. All handed over on a silver platter.

I heard a car pull up outside.

Through the tiny window, I saw my parents out front, loaded down with shopping bags.

Rafe walked behind them with an arm around Maisie, holding her favorite nut ice cream.

Even though I was used to it, I still heard my wolf whimper in heartbreak.

Maybe I could fight back. Just this once.

I stepped out of my room.

“Mom, Dad, Rafe–these are my results. I’m not giving them to Maisie.”
