“What are you still standing there for?”

“Do it now!”

Zoey turned to the security guards behind her and shouted, “I don’t care how you do it. Get those watches off them!”

As soon as she said that, the guards had no choice but to start walking toward me.

Watching the scene unfold in front of me, I was so furious my expression hardened.

They were not even bothering to pretend anymore.

“Stop. I’ll pay. Let my clients go first!”

I shouted, then turned to look outside the private dining room.

The police had not arrived yet.

For the sake of my clients’ safety, I could only pay first.

In any case, the payment record would be there. They would not be able to deny it later.

The moment I said that, Zoey immediately looked smug.

My phone had been recording audio the entire time, and I was also stalling.

Zoey had clearly prepared for this. She motioned to someone behind her and said, “One bill for $30,000 and one for $3,000. That makes $33,000 in total.”

“Pay up.”

Just as I took out my phone and was about to pay, the private dining room doors were pushed open. Several police officers quickly walked in.

“We received a report. Who here is Ms. Carter?”

The officers looked at our group and immediately asked.

As Zoey said that, she looked at me with a fake smile. “Ms. Carter, this is such a small matter. We can handle it ourselves.”

I let out a cold laugh. “I don’t think this is a small matter.”

“Besides, I’m very curious who spent this much money at your restaurant and then put the bill under my name.”

“Zoey, are your restaurant’s security cameras really broken?”

I looked at Zoey coldly, my voice full of anger. “Right now, you’re not the one holding us accountable.”
