She Took Over My Perfect Life To Get Revenge, Only To Be Trapped In My Hell Chapter 10

The second the results went up, Maya lost it.

She stormed up to the front, snatched the rankings, and stared at the top name.

First place, Maya.

Third from the bottom, Seraphina.

“No way!”

She slammed the rankings down and screamed, “Seraphina was supposed to get first!”

The department administrator frowned.

“But you are Seraphina.”

“I’m not!”

All the pain, jealousy, and fear she’d been bottling up finally exploded.

She spun around and pointed at me, her eyes wild.

“She’s Seraphina!”

“We swapped bodies! The Maya sitting in front of you has Seraphina inside her!”

The room went dead silent.

A few seconds later, the room erupted.

“What does she mean? A body swap?”

“She bombed the test and now she’s lost it?”

“Someone’s read too many novels.”

Maya was beyond caring. She rushed off the stage and grabbed me by the shoulders.

“Seraphina, give me my body back!”

“Who gave you the right to get first place in my body?”

“That’s my name, my parents, my life!”

I looked at her calmly.

How ridiculous.

Two months ago, she’d mocked me for nothing more than being born into the right family.

She’d told me the body swap was permanent and ordered me to rot in her body.

Now that I’d made the life she hated into something good, she wanted it back.

“I don’t care!”

She lunged at me like she’d lost her mind.

“This body’s mine! They’re my parents too! Give it all back!”

The department administrator had someone hold her back and called both families.

It took three calls before someone finally answered at the Voss Estate.

After hearing what had happened, the butler replied coldly, “Mr. and Mrs. Voss are in a meeting.”

“If Ms. Voss’s emotionally unstable, take her to the hospital. Bill it to the family.”

Not once did they ask whether their “daughter” was hurt.

They didn’t even show up.

To them, it didn’t matter who was inside the body.

As long as that face was still Seraphina and the engagement could go ahead, the product was still

the same.

Half an hour later, the classroom door flew open.

Linda rushed in, out of breath.

Frank was right behind her. Neither of them had even taken off their diner aprons.

“Maya!” Linda rushed straight to me, frantically checking my arms and face.

“Are you hurt? Who did this to you?”

Maya, still pinned to her chair, burst into tears when she saw them.

“Mom!”

That one word made Linda freeze.

She slowly turned around.

Maya was crying so hard she could barely catch her breath.

“Mom, look at me. I’m Maya!”

“When I was ten, I stole money from the house to buy snacks. I was scared you’d yell at me, so I hid

money under the water tank in the backyard.”

“On my twelfth birthday, I wanted a dress. Dad couldn’t afford it, so he spent two weeks working

long hours at a construction site just to buy it for me.”

“And that scar on your leg? I ran into the street when was six. You got hit by a motorcycle trying to

save me.”

One memory after another came crashing down.

The color drained from Linda’s face.

She looked from Maya to me, her lips trembling.

“So… you’re really not my Maya?”

My throat felt like it had closed up.

After a long silence, I finally whispered, “I’m sorry.”

Just a few words. Enough to confirm everything.

Linda staggered backward.

Frank quickly caught her, his face just as stunned.

After a brief silence, Maya broke free and ran crying into their arms.

“Dad, Mom! I knew you’d know me!”

“She took my body and stole the love you gave me!”

“Make her leave. Let’s go home!”

She held out her arms, waiting for her parents to embrace her like they always had.

But Linda didn’t move. She just looked at her through tear–filled eyes.

“If you’re Maya, why didn’t you tell us?”

Maya froze. “I… I was afraid you wouldn’t believe me.”

Linda’s tears spilled over.

“You had time to mock her for being fat.”

“You had time to send photos of her to the whole class so everyone could laugh.”

“But you couldn’t find time for one phone call?”

“You knew I waited for you to come home for dinner every day.”

“But you never called. Not once.”

Maya panicked. “That’s not it. I just didn’t get the chance…”

“It’s not that you didn’t get the chance.” Linda’s voice broke as she cut her off.

“You became a rich family’s daughter, and you decided you didn’t want us anymore.”

“Maya, you were the one who turned your back on this family first.”

Those words shattered what was left of her excuses.

“I regret it now!”

Maya sobbed and grabbed her hand.

“Mom, I’ll come home! Just make her go. I’m still your daughter!‘

Linda slowly pulled her hand away.

“If you want to come home, the door’s always open.

“But I can’t throw her out. She’s our daughter too.”

. She turned and walked over to me.

Her hands lifted, then fell again. In the end, she only gently straightened my collar.

“I don’t know what to call you, or what we do from here.”

“But these past two months, you’ve been the one shopping with me, rubbing your dad’s back when

it hurt.”

“When my stomach hurt in the middle of the night, you carried me to the hospital.”

“When the diner was slammed, you were there every day pitching in.”

Her voice trembled as she cried.

“None of that was fake.”

“If you have nowhere to go, come home with us.”

The tears I’d been holding back finally fell.

Frank was silent for a long moment before nodding, his eyes wet.

“Let’s go home first.”

“Whatever happens, we’ll deal with it at home.”

They didn’t suddenly treat me like their own daughter just because the truth came out.

But they didn’t toss me out like garbage just because we weren’t blood.

Meanwhile, not a single person from the Voss family had shown up.

Maya sank to the floor and finally understood.

She’d stolen my face, my family name, and my engagement.

But with her own hands, she’d thrown away the only people in this world who’d ever truly loved her.
