Luca’s assistant delivered a new phone.

“Elena, Luca didn’t get in touch until late last night. He asked me to bring this first thing this morning. He really cares about your safety.”

I gave him a faint smile and said nothing.

The assistant set the phone on the coffee table. “After the wedding, everyone in the family will recognize your position. Once you’re sitting beside Luca, no one will be able to go around you anymore.”

I just waved him out.

He had no idea that seat would soon be empty.

I stared at the new phone for a while before opening Bianca’s Instagram.

She had already posted today’s countdown.
