“I’ll come get you on Sunday. That therapist knows what he’s doing.”

I didn’t think the therapist seemed professional at all. The clinic had all the right equipment, sure, but the therapist kept looking at me with a faint, knowing smile. It wasn’t offensive, just strange,

almost as if we’d met before.

But the moment he spoke, I knew we hadn’t. I definitely would’ve remembered a behavioral therapist with a voice that nice. Adrian sat beside me with a notebook in his hands.

Naturally, the system started commenting again.

[I’ve never seen a male lead this ridiculously accommodating. He found you a therapist, and now he’s even taking notes on your condition.]

The therapist continued explaining.

“Elena, because you didn’t tell your guardians at the time and never received proper behavioral guidance, the habit simply stayed with you into adulthood.”

He adjusted his glasses, then glanced at Adrian, who was still taking notes seriously.

“But you don’t need to worry. This isn’t an aggression problem, and it isn’t a case of a werewolf losing control.”

Adrian’s pen paused, and he looked up at the therapist.

“Then what should the treatment plan be?”

The therapist cleared his throat.

“She’s simply retained a childhood biting reflex and scent attachment. She doesn’t have an aggression problem, so there’s no need to suppress the behavior through force.”

I lightly scratched at my fingertip with my nail. For some reason, Adrian suddenly looked less like my friend and more like a parent who had brought me in for an appointment.

“For Elena, biting has already become strongly linked to security and familiar scent.”

“When she’s emotionally unstable or her wolf instincts become restless, a trusted partner or friend can gradually replace the biting behavior with hugs, soothing touch, and the steady presence of a

familiar scent.”

“Over time, the old biting reflex should weaken.”

No one spoke in the consultation room; the only sound was Adrian’s pen moving across the paper. The therapist continued calmly.

“You should first agree on clear physical boundaries.”

“During the transition period, if both people consent, very gentle biting can still be allowed, as long as she avoids actual marking spots.”

“Then gradually reduce how often it happens.”

“In daily life, use emotional reassurance as a substitute. Once the triggers decrease, the behavior should naturally improve.”

“This process can’t be rushed.”

“She’ll need long-term cooperation from someone she trusts so she can slowly build a new sense

of safety.”

I opened my mouth, intending to tell the therapist that I’d been biting my own arm lately. But Adrian spoke before I could.

“What happens if she suppresses it too much during this process?”

“If she excessively suppresses a habitual behavior she’s had since childhood, her anxiety may

increase.”

“That can actually make the urge to bite even stronger.”

The system immediately started yelling inside my head.
