After I said that, Andrew was silent for a long time.

As if my words had reminded her of something, Delilah immediately pulled out her phone and opened a video.

“If everyone has already decided this is my fault, then I guess there’s nothing left for me to say.

The video showed the graduation party.

The room was dark and noisy.

The clip happened to show me reaching out, Delilah falling, and the wine bottle shattering across

the floor.

Blood appeared beside her leg while I stood frozen nearby.

The video ended abruptly there.

Delilah spoke through sobs.

“I never wanted to show this. But I honestly don’t know what I ever did to make her hate me this

much.”

Some of the people watching began to look uncertain.

Nicolas looked at me too, and I could see him wavering again.

I asked him, “Are you going to choose her again this time?”

Nicolas stiffened.

Delilah shook her head through her tears.

“Jade, why do you have to force them to choose? From the beginning, you’re the one who refused to accept me.”

I unlocked my own phone.

I knew the password to Andrew’s tablet, and I had saved everything that mattered a long time ago.

First, I opened screenshots of the group chat.

Sue had written in their private group, “Jade has a severe pollen allergy. Don’t bring flowers if you

visit her in the hospital. She can’t be around them.”

Under that message, Delilah had replied with a cute emoji.

I held up the screenshot.

“You didn’t know I had a pollen allergy?”

Delilah panicked and grabbed Nicolas’s sleeve..

“Nicolas, I didn’t mean any harm. I was just so jealous of Jade. She has everything. I only wanted to be friends with all of you.”

Nicolas looked down at the hand clutching his sleeve.

For the first time, he did not immediately comfort her.

Then I opened the final, unedited video.

A classmate had recorded it from the corner of the karaoke room.

In the video, Delilah deliberately held her phone out to me.

She said her hands were wet.

The moment I took the phone, her fingers let go.

Later, she reached for my sleeve.

I stepped back, and she stumbled into the edge of the table on her own, knocking the wine bottle to

the floor.

When the video ended, the crowd around us became frighteningly quiet.

Evelyn gave a cold laugh.

“And that’s supposed to be an accident?”

The fragile expression on Delilah’s face finally cracked.

She snapped, “Was I wrong?”

Everyone turned to look at her.

Her eyes were red, and her voice shook.

“Why does everyone have to like Jade Schmidt? Why does she get a brother, a childhood friend, and

a best friend, with all of them loving her and spoiling her?”

For the first time, naked hatred showed in her eyes as she looked at me.

“I just wanted to be chosen once. Is that wrong?”

Andrew stood frozen, as if he were finally seeing her clearly for the first time.

He called my name hoarsely.

“Jade…”

I took a step back.

“Don’t call me that.”

His face went deathly pale.

I looked straight at him and said, one word at a time, “Andrew Schmidt, you are not my brother

anymore.”
