The Intern Punishes Her Billionaire Boss Chapter 11

The Intern Punishes Her Billionaire Boss Chapter 11 The Final Reckoning

Julian’s mother was a decent-looking middle-aged woman. She wore an elegant suit, but the redness and haggard look in her eyes betrayed the anxiety gnawing at her heart. As soon as she walked into the office, her face was twisted with grief, yet she struggled to hold onto a shred of dignity.

“Ms. Hale! Scarlett! You can’t do this to Julian! You raised him up with your own hands-how could you be so cruel as to send him to prison!”

I didn’t move, just looked at her coldly. Wendy tried to step forward to stop her, but I stopped her with a glance.

I looked at her, suddenly finding the whole thing ridiculous. I’d long clung to the memory of that young intern who’d lent me money to save the company, who’d spoken of dreams and loyalty. But that person wás gone, replaced by someone who’d taken my kindness for weakness and exploited my trust to line his own pockets. Sentiment had no place here anymore.

She didn’t expect me to react this way-she froze for a second, then her emotions flared even more intensely.

“Sit? How can I sit when my son is being ruined by you! Do you know how much he’s sacrificed for this company? These past three years, he’s worked day and night, taking care of the company for you—even if he has no merit, he has worked hard, hasn’t he? Are you really going to destroy him over a trivial matter?”

“A trivial matter?” I let out a soft, cold laugh. “Ma’am, I think you have a misunderstanding of the phrase ‘trivial matter. Your son has embezzled 13.27 million dollars of company assets over the past three years, taken out 50 million dollars in illegal loans, and planned to empty the company. Are all these things trivial to you?”

All the color drained from her face, her lips trembling, unable to say a single word. Clearly, she had no idea how big of a mess he’d gotten himself into.

“N-no… that’s impossible… you’re lying to me! My Julian is so honest-how could he do something like this! It must be you! You’re jealous that he’s doing better than you, so you framed him!”

I sighed, realizing there was no point in talking to her.

“Wendy, see her out.”

“No!” Mrs. Cole panicked instantly. With a thud, she dropped to her knees right in front of me.

“Ms. Hale! I’m begging you! Julian made a momentary mistake-please spare him this once! He’s still young: you can’t ruin his whole life! I’ll do anything you ask, just please let him go!”

She clung to my legs, sobbing uncontrollably, all her dignity gone. A crowd of employees had gathered at the office door, watching the scene with curiosity.

I frowned, feeling a flicker of annoyance.

“Ma’am, please stand up.” I tried to help her, but she held on tightly, refusing to let go.

“I won’t stand up until you agree! I’ll kneel here until I die!”

My patience finally ran out.

“Very well, then kneel.” I pulled my hand back, sitting down on the sofa again. “But I’ll say it again- impossible.”

She looked up suddenly, her eyes filled with venom and hatred.

“Scarlett! Don’t you forget who helped you when you were at your lowest! If it weren’t for my Julian, your company would have gone bankrupt a long time ago! You’re an ungrateful ingrate!”

I froze for a moment, then realized what she was talking about. It was the second year the company had been founded-our cash flow had dried up, and I’d hit a wall everywhere I went trying to find investment. It was Julian, who was still an intern at the time, who’d taken the 500,000 dollars his parents had saved for his wedding house and lent it to me.

It was precisely because of this kindness that I’d looked at him differently later, promoting him all the way.

I looked at her, suddenly finding the whole thing ridiculous.

“Ma’am, I paid that 500,000 dollars back the next year, and I gave him 10% of the company’s dry shares. Based on the current market value, that portion of the shares is worth 70 million dollars. Do you think I still owe your family anything?”

Mrs. Cole’s mouth dropped open in an “O” shape-clearly, Julian had never told her about this.

“And as for you saying he helped me,” I stood up, every word sharp and clear, “Ma’am, you’re mistaken about one thing. It wasn’t him who helped me-it was I who gave him a platform, who turned him from a poor young man with nothing into a CEO earning a million yuan a year. It was I who gave him status and wealth far beyond his abilities. And how did he repay me?”

“With betrayal, with scheming, with an attempt to take everything I’d worked so hard to build for himself- even trying to push me out!”

“Now you’re here begging me to forgive him?” I looked down at her, my voice cold and unforgiving. “Tell me-does he deserve it?”

Mrs. Cole was left speechless, collapsing to the floor in defeat. I didn’t look at her again, turning to Wendy directly.

“Call security.”

With that, I turned around and walked back to the floor-to-ceiling windows that belonged to me. Outside, the sun was shining brightly. The storm of change was just beginning, and I was ready. The company I’d built would rise again-stronger, sharper, unyielding. No more mercy for betrayers, no more second chances for those who took this place for granted. This was my kingdom, and I would rule it with clarity and strength.
