The second he was gone, I unlocked his phone, still sitting on the table.

Tyler: [Eh, that’s her thing. Always bawling. Thanks for keeping an eye on her.]

Gavin: [If you’re over her, just break up. No need to mess with her like this.]

Tyler: [I’m not over her. She’s just too controlling. Wouldn’t even let me go out drinking at midnight. Lila’s right—once she’s suffered a little, she’ll fall in line.]
