He Gave Me 99 Surgeries for His First Love, the 100th Killed Me Chapter 11

Before she could react, they grabbed her.

“What are you doing?! Let me go!” Cecilia shrieked, but her cries didn’t stop them.

Nathaniel ignored her completely. While she was strapped down, he turned, lit three white memorial candles, bowed to my memorial portrait, and placed them in bronze votive stands.

After she was secured, he walked over to her, step by step.

“Cecilia, every suffering Elena endured-you’re going to pay back one by one,” he said, looking down at her. “You like performing surgeries, don’t you? Then experience it yourself-that way the feeling will be real.”

“Let’s start with one eyeball. Keep the color muted-it suits today’s occasion.”

“Oh, and one more thing,” he instructed the doctors. “No anesthesia. Let her feel every single cut while fully

awake.”

Her screams echoed through the funeral hall, drifting out to the street. Every passerby quickened their step.

Cecilia was pinned down, head forced back.

White funeral banners hung above her like a canopy of judgment.

Blood poured from the hollow socket of her face, streaming down her cheek and staining her collar red.

Her remaining eye bulged wide, tears mixing with the blood.

Nathaniel watched, a satisfied connoisseur admiring a painting.

After a long moment, he finally spoke.

“Lock her in the basement of the Harper Ridge house. Keep her on IV nutrition-just enough to stay alive.”

“I want her to live-day after day-experiencing the same torment she inflicted on Elena.”

The hall fell quiet again.

The blood was cleaned up as if nothing had happened.

The man sat down beside the wooden coffin.

He tapped the lid lightly, as if chatting with me.

“Elena, I know you like things clean. See? It’s all clean now.”

“Are you lonely down there? I want so badly to come keep you company.”

“But I can’t die yet. I still have to get justice for you.”

“Wait for me a little longer, okay? Once it’s all done, I’ll come find you.”

“Will you want to see me then? After all the things I wrongfully blamed you for…”

Suddenly, he covered his face and broke down.

“I’m sorry. I messed everything up again. How did a wedding turn into a funeral…”

I floated in the air, watching his pale face, the bottomless regret in his eyes, and felt nothing.

A reckoning that came too late could never bring back the woman who once would have given anything to

return to him.

Years later, due to mismanagement, Nathaniel’s company went bankrupt.

Debt collectors showed up at his door with knives, demanding payment.

Around the same time, word came from the Harper Ridge house.

Cecilia’s final surgery was over-she’d died on the spot.

Nathaniel blinked, and then felt a strange sense of release.

He stepped forward into the blade-driving it into his own chest.

He looked down at the blood spreading across his shirt, then up at the man’s panicked face.

He smiled weakly, reached down, and pulled the knife out.

Blood poured out. He coughed, his voice barely a whisper.

“Don’t worry. I left the door unlocked on purpose. There are no cameras here. I won’t call the police. You can

go now-while there’s still time.”

The man froze, then stumbled away.

Nathaniel slid down against the wall.

With fading vision, he stared at the photo in his hands for a long time.

Then he closed his eyes, a faint smile at the corner of his mouth.

Like he’d finally made it to a date that had been years overdue.
